Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which paging messages may provide an indication of a service that caused the page, and a receiving user equipment (UE) may determine a paging response based on a UE status and the service that caused the page. The paging response may include ignoring the page, a paging response with a busy indication, or a paging response after a time delay, for example. The paging message may be received at an access stratum (AS) layer of the UE, and the AS layer may provide the paging message to a non-access stratum (NAS) layer along with the indication of the service that caused the page. The NAS layer may determine the paging response.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques performing measurement reporting. One aspect is a method for performing measurement reporting at a user equipment, including: receiving, from a master node, a message comprising a measurement configuration for a secondary node; entering an inactive state; performing measurements according to the measurement configuration for the secondary node immediately after entering the inactive state; generating a measurement report based on the measurements; transmitting, to the master node, an RRC resume request message; receiving, from the master node, an RRC resume message comprising a request for measurement reporting; and transmitting, to the master node, an RRC resume complete message comprising the measurement report; and receiving data from the secondary node.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, handling header compression in scenarios with concurrent connections, such as make-before-break (MBB) handover or dual connectivity (DC) scenarios. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) can include concurrently communicating with a first base station (BS) on a connection with the first BS and with a second BS on a connection with the second BS during a handover procedure. The UE maintains a context for a header compression protocol for the connection with the first BS and the connection with the second BS. The concurrently communicating includes using the header compression protocol context for sending one or more packets, receiving one or more packets, or both.
