Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to methods for TDM based co-existence of V2X technologies. A method may comprise receiving a time division multiplexed configuration that is determined based on a distribution of a plurality of technologies in a communication system, the distribution corresponding to a traffic load of each technology and transmitting in accordance with channel access methods of one of the plurality of technologies during a resource allocated according to the received TDM configuration. In an aspect, each of the plurality of technologies operate in accordance with channel access methods defined for each technology.

Abstract: This disclosure provides wireless nodes, methods, apparatus, means plus and computer-readable mediums for randomly determining detection thresholds, such as energy detection (ED) thresholds, and then using such randomly determined thresholds to determine whether a channel is busy or idle when performing clear channel access (CCA). In some implementations, a new random detection threshold may be determined at a start of each backoff or each subsequent backoff slot. In some other implementations, a range of energy from which the detection threshold is randomly determined may depend on measurements of traffic activity, the number of MAC addresses observed or the priority of the traffic.

In some implementations, a schedule of synchronized start times may be determined and an indication that the first schedule is active may be signaled. In some other implementations, signaling indicating a first schedule of synchronized start times is active may be detected and channel access may be performed according to the first schedule.

Abstract: An effective way for the cellular device-to-device communication and the short range communication to share a set of channels for communication is desired. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus determines a priority level of each channel of a plurality of channels. The apparatus determines whether a first channel of the plurality of channels, the first channel having a highest priority level, is occupied by short range wireless communication. If the first channel is occupied by the short range wireless communication, the apparatus determines availability of one or more remaining channels of the plurality of channels for a cellular device-to-device (D2D) communication, where the one or more remaining channels are different from the first channel.
