    Abstract: In order to improve efficiency in releasing a connection with a user equipment, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are presented herein. A RAN receives release assistance information from a user equipment or a User Plane Function (UPF) involved in an active session with the user equipment. The release assistance information may be received over a control plane or over a user plane. The release assistance information may be received from the user equipment or the UPF over the user plane or as Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling. The release assistance information may be received from an application function via the UPF. The RAN determines to release the user equipment based on the release assistance information.

    Abstract: A second network entity/RAN entity may transmit to a first network entity/ADRF, and the first network entity/ADRF may receive from the second network entity/RAN entity, first information associated with a RAN. The first network entity/ADRF may store, at the first network entity/ADRF, the first information associated with the RAN. The first network entity/ADRF may transmit to the second network entity, and the second network entity may receive from the first network entity/ADRF, a response indicative of storage of the first information at the first network entity/ADRF. The first network entity/ADRF may receive, from a third network entity, a request for second information associated with the RAN. The first network entity/ADRF may transmit, to the third network entity, at least some of the second information associated with the RAN based on the request for the second information.

    Abstract: Aspects relate paging message management for a wireless communication device having multiple subscriber identity modules (SIMs), where a first SIM is active and a second SIM is inactive. A Radio Access Network (RAN) paging message is received and processed for the second SIM of the wireless communication device. A busy indication message including an establishment cause value for the busy indication message is generated in response to the RAN paging message. The busy indication message may be transmitted to a wireless communication network to pause or halt further paging messages in accordance with the busy indication message.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a cellular modem may transmit, to an applications processor, an indication to use a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) interworking function (N3IWF) for non-access stratum (NAS) signaling. Accordingly, the cellular modem may establish a first virtual interface with the applications processor. The cellular modem may further perform an Internet Key Exchange (IKE) procedure with a core network using the first virtual interface and the N3IWF and transmit a key generated during the IKE procedure to the applications processor.
