摘要： The present invention relates generally to a mathematical and computer model of diabetes related disorders (e.g., human type 2 diabetes) within the framework of multiple macronutrient metabolism. The model includes a representation of complex physiological control mechanisms directing, for example, fat metabolism, protein metabolism and/or carbohydrate metabolism. In one embodiment, for example, the model can account for the interconversion between macronutrients, as well as their digestion, absorption, storage, mobilization, and adaptive utilization, as well as the endocrine control of these processes. In this embodiment, the model can simulate, for example, a heterogeneous group of diabetes related disorders, from insulin resistant to severe diabetic, and can predict the likely effects of therapeutic interventions.

摘要： A time indexed voice recording system wherein tone coded time signals are received on one channel of an entertainment grade stereophonic tape recorder and the desired voice signals entered into the other channel. The recording system is portable in nature and especially adapted for use in airborne missions where it can be placed within the clothing of an aircrewmember in even the smallest of aircraft cockpits. The tone code in the disclosed system is generated by a telephone compatible microcircuit system which also includes a microcomputer and software for system controlling purposes. The disclosure includes a flow diagram of the microcomputer software as well as a complete assembly language listing.

摘要： A belt conveyor advancing and/or retreating return end (1) is situated between a conveyor structure (2) and an excavation implement (3). Elements (1, 2 and 3) are to be located in an underground mine (12) for example. Return end (1) comprises a main frame (4) located above a crawler frame (5). Tracks (7) are mounted to the crawler frame (5) and are mounted in a parallel configuration to laterally opposed sides of the crawler frame (5). Slewing cylinders (10) are provided such that one end of each slewing cylinder (10) is connected to the main frame (4) whereas the other end is connected to the crawler frame (5). A number of levelling cylinders (11) effect vertical movement of crawler tracks (7) relative to crawler frame (5) which in turn effects vertical movement of the main frame (4). The configuratioin disclosed allows lateral alignment of the belt or rotation of the belt end in a nominally horizontal plane without the necessity of moving the belt return end either forward or rearward in the longitudinal direction of the belt.

The computing device further associates an item removed from the bin with the individual or credits an item returned to the bin with the individual when the individual exits the container.

The bin is movable between a first position at which the bin can be loaded with the granular commodity and a second position at which residual granular commodity can be recovered from the bin. The hopper further has a fill opening formed in the bin and adapted for loading the granular commodity into the bin when the bin is in the first position. A discharge opening is configured to be flow-coupled to the commodity conveyor apparatus and a container is removably attached to the bin for recovering the residual granular commodity from the bin when the bin is in the second position.
