    Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform at least receiving, by a network device of a communication network, information providing an indication to connect to a network node of the communication network using a RACH-less signaling procedure; determining that connecting to the network node using the RACH-less signaling procedure has failed; and based on the RACH-less signaling procedure failing, using at least one alternative signaling procedure for connecting to the network node using the UL resources from RACH-less procedure. Further, in accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform based on a RACH-less signaling procedure from a network device failing to connect to a network node, receiving, by the network node, at least one alternative signaling procedure from the network device for the connecting; and establishing a connection with the network device based on the at least one alternative signaling procedure from the network device using the UL resources from RACH-less procedure.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the UE to obtain a conditional handover command, the conditional handover command indicating a multiple cell target for handover from a source cell and at least one performance margin, each of the at least one performance margin associated with a cell neighboring a first cell in the multiple cell target, determine whether to initiate a handover to the first cell based on the at least one performance margin, and transmit data to the first cell based on the determination of whether to initiate the handover.

    Abstract: A communication device for use in a cellular network includes a plurality of antenna panels for communication with cells in a cellular network, circuitry for carrying out a panel selection process based on received power level for selecting an antenna panel, and circuitry for performing measurement cycles requiring determination of respective power levels. The circuitry for performing measurement cycles measures a first received power level from said neighbor cell with the antenna panel selected for said neighbor cell and measures a second received power level from said neighbor cell with the antenna panel selected for said serving cell. The circuitry for performing measurement cycles measures a third power level received for said neighbor cell with the antenna panel selected for said serving cell and adjusting said third power level with an offset function, said adjusted third power level being used as the respective power level for said neighbor cell.

    Abstract: When there is a role switch between a first apparatus acting as a relay node towards a wireless network for one or more second apparatuses acting as remote nodes a relay context used by the first apparatus towards the wireless network is communicated to a second apparatus using sidelink communication. After that the first apparatus starts to act as a remote node and the second apparatus starts to act as a relay node using the relay context. Use of the same relay context makes the role switch transparent to the wireless network.
