Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for interoperation between a wireless local area network WLAN and a wireless wide area network WWAN, comprising: sending a wireless local area network media access control WLAN MAC address to a base station through a radio resource control RRC message; and accessing the WLAN network of the base station using the WLAN MAC address. In the method of the present invention, the WWAN and the WLAN can provide the user equipment and the base station with data service together or complementally, and the control method for the WWAN and the WLAN is simple.

The method includes: An access control device obtains authorization information from a target network device, where the authorization information includes an identifier of a first terminal and authorization operation indication information for subscription information of the first terminal; the access control device obtains a subscription information processing request from a second terminal, where the subscription information processing request includes an identifier of the second terminal; and the access control device processes subscription information corresponding to the identifier of the second terminal based on the authorization operation indication information in response to the identifier of the first terminal matching the identifier of the second terminal.

This application provides a communications method and an apparatus. The communications method includes: receiving, by a first access and mobility management function network element in a first communications network, a first message from a terminal device, where the first message includes a non-access stratum (NAS) parameter used by the terminal device to access a second communications network; and sending, by the first access and mobility management function network element, a second message to a second access and mobility management function network element in the second communications network, where the second message includes the NAS parameter. Therefore, according to the embodiments of this application, the terminal device can access the second communications network through the first access and mobility management function network element in the first communications based on the NAS parameter.

Embodiments of this application disclose a capability exposure method. The method may include obtaining, by an access network device, a request message from an application server, where the request message includes at least one of first time information or second time information, where the first time information is used to set a time for which the terminal device is in a first state of a connected mode and the second time information is used to set a time for which the terminal device is in a second state of the connected mode. The access network device can then set the connected mode of the terminal device based on the first time information or the second time information.

This application discloses a method for accessing a fixed network and an access gateway network element. The method carried out by an access gateway network element of a fixed network includes: performing a PPPoE negotiation with a terminal, to establish a PPPoE session with the terminal; negotiating a PPPoE authentication mode with the terminal; sending a PPPoE authentication parameter to an authentication service network element of a mobile network, where the PPPoE authentication parameter is used by the authentication service network element to perform PPPoE authentication on the terminal; and receiving a PPPoE authentication result from the authentication service network element, and sending a PPPoE authentication result message to the terminal, where the PPPoE authentication result message includes the PPPoE authentication result. Embodiments of this application are applied to authentication during an access from the mobile network to the fixed network.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method in a handover process and an apparatus. The method includes: when a terminal is handed over from a source access network device to a target access network device, obtaining, by a gateway device, address information of the target access network device; obtaining, by the gateway device, address information of a Mobile Edge Computing MEC network element; and sending, by the gateway device, the address information of the target access network device to the MEC network element based on the address information of the MEC network element, so that the MEC network element modifies stored address information of the source access network device to the address information of the target access network device.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method and a device. The method includes: receiving, by a mobile edge computing MEC network element, address information of a first communications device sent by the first communications device; and storing, by the MEC network element, the address information of the first communications device, where the address information of the first communications device is used to determine a destination address of an uplink data packet or a first downlink data packet of a terminal. In the embodiments of the present invention, the MEC network element receives address information of a communications device sent by the communications device, and stores the address information of the communications device.

Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method and a host machine, so that when a host machine cannot directly connect to the Internet, a virtual terminal can still connect to a mobile network. This extends an application scope of the virtual terminal. The host machine obtains a first network address of a physical terminal, where the physical terminal has started to establish a connection or has established a connection to the mobile network; and the host machine sets a second network address of the virtual terminal to the first network address, so that the virtual terminal sends data to the mobile network by using the first network address and/or receives, by using the first network address, data sent by the mobile network. The virtual terminal runs on the host machine.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for accessing a local network, and a related device, so that a user equipment can simultaneously access an operator network and a local network. The method includes: receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), an access request of a user equipment (UE) that is sent by a base station, where the access request carries access information of the UE; determining, according to the access information of the UE, a first local gateway corresponding to the UE; and establishing, for the UE, a user plane bearer that is from the base station to a gateway of a core network and that includes the first local gateway used as an intermediate node.

A method, an apparatus, and a system for paging a User Equipment (UE) are provided. The method for paging a UE includes: sending a downlink data notification message inclusive of paging range indicator information to a core network control plane entity; receiving a paging message sent by the core network control plane entity and inclusive of a raging range; and initiating a paging to a UE corresponding to a user ID in the paging range. The apparatus for paging a UE includes: a first sending module, a first receiving module, and a paging initiating module. A system for paging a UE is further provided. With the method, apparatus, and system for paging a UE, the UE can be paged in only a set paging range.
