Abstract: An operation method of a first communication node includes generating a plurality of modulation symbols for information bits; determining a symbol mapping pattern based on a number Nt of antennas of the first communication node, a number NL of spatial layers multiplexed in a same frequency resource, and a number NSSF of modulation symbols belonging to one space-frequency grid; mapping the plurality of modulation symbols to a space-frequency domain based on the symbol mapping pattern; and transmitting the plurality of modulation symbols mapped to the space-frequency domain to a second communication node using the antennas.

Abstract: A method in which a base station transmits a CSI (channel state information)-RS (reference signal) in a MIMO (multiple input multiple output) antenna system is provided. The base station periodically transmits a CSI-RS for first CSI to a terminal. The base station requests the terminal to transmit second CSI in a first subframe. When a CSI-RS occasion is configured, the base station transmits a CSI-RS for the second CSI to the terminal for a duration of the CSI-RS occasion from a second subframe or to the second subframe, which is a subframe after a first offset configured for CSI-RS transmission from the first subframe.

Abstract: A method of searching a cell in a mobile station of a communication system in which a plurality of cells are grouped into a plurality of cell groups, each cell group including at least two cells, includes: detecting a primary synchronization signal and a secondary synchronization signal from a received signal; and identifying a cell based on a combination of the primary synchronization signal and the secondary synchronization signal. The secondary synchronization signal is related to the cell group to which the mobile station belongs and the primary synchronization signal is related to the cell to which the mobile station belongs within the cell group.
