Abstract:
A communication method of a terminal that can operate in a relay mode or a base station mode is provided. When the terminal, having received a service from a first base station, detects that a service connection to the first base station is unavailable, the terminal searches for a second base station, which is an available neighboring base station. The terminal transmits a ranging request message including a base station identifier of the first base station to the second base station.
Abstract:
A method of managing a multicast resource is provided by a base station. The base station allocates a multicast resource to a multicast group. The base station generates a MAP IE including information of the multicast resource and a transmission indication for indicating whether the multicast resource is fragmented, and transmits the MAP IE to the multicast group.
Abstract:
A ground radio station (GRS) apparatus and a radio station apparatus included in an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are provided. The GRS apparatus may include an antenna configured to transmit and receive a radio frequency (RF) signal, an RF and/or intermediate frequency (IF) (RF/IF) chain configured to perform a conversion between the RF signal and a baseband signal, a baseband transceiving processor configured to transmit and receive the baseband signal, and a BB-IF interface configured to map the baseband signal to the RF/IF chain or the baseband transceiving processor.
Abstract:
A beamforming apparatus and method for expanding coverage of a control channel are provided, by which neighboring communication devices are classified according to the number of beams that they can receive, and therefore the frequency or period of beam transmission is adjusted to transmit a control channel by a beamforming method. Hence, an overhead reduction and an increase in transmission rate can be achieved, and coverage holes can be prevented.
Abstract:
A method for a first terminal communicating with a base station to perform direct communication with a second terminal is provided. The first terminal determines first timing for transmitting or receiving a first signal to or from the base station. Next, the first terminal determines second timing for transmitting a second signal for terminal discovery to the second terminal. When the first timing and the second timing overlap, the first terminal then changes either the first timing or the second timing.
Abstract:
A synchronization group management apparatus of a node recognizes a node belonging to a different group if groups having mobility are moved and located in the same area, and performs an operation of merging the different groups into one group by changing the frame start time and the synchronization reference time of the node.
Abstract:
A method of performing communication of a terminal includes the terminal transmitting state information thereof to a base station, and the terminal receiving a mode change request from the base station when the terminal is selected by the base station.
Abstract:
A communication method of a terminal and a communication method of a base station for a direct communication link between terminals are disclosed. A base station schedules a reference terminal to transmit a ranging code, and schedules target terminals to receive the ranging code. The reference terminal measures the ranging code received from the target terminals, and transmits a ranging code measurement result to the base station. The base station selects a terminal from among the target terminals to form the direct communication link with the reference terminal among the target terminals based on the ranging code measurement result.
Abstract:
In a direct communication between terminals, a terminal transmits a synchronization channel preamble part after transmitting a synchronization channel message part including synchronization information. The terminal receives a dedicated channel including a direct communication packet after transmitting the synchronization channel preamble part. A transition time gap for switching from transmission to reception may be inserted to an end of the synchronization channel preamble part.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of identifying location information of a signal source, the method including: identifying, at a first position, first position information and first posture information of an UAV equipped with a linear array antenna; identifying, after identifying a first measured azimuth between the signal source and the antenna at the first position, a first corrected azimuth; identifying, at at least one second position, at least one piece of second position information and at least one of second posture information of the UAV; identifying, after identifying at least one second measured azimuth between the signal source and the antenna at the at least one second position, at least one second corrected azimuth; and estimating the location information of the signal source by using the first position information, the first posture information, the first corrected azimuth, the second position information, the second posture information, and the second corrected azimuth.
