    Abstract: Disclosed is an authentication method of a wireless mesh network capable of reducing overload and communication delay during authentication procedure by performing authentication between nodes without accessing an authentication server. The authentication method of a wireless mesh network according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes: selecting, by a new node, a first neighbor node among one or more adjacent nodes; transmitting, by the new node, an authentication request message including a public key of the new node; authenticating, by the first neighbor node, the public key of the new node; transmitting, by the first neighbor node, an authentication response message including a public key of the first neighbor node to the new node; and authenticating, by the new node, the public key of the first neighbor node; transmitting, by the new node, an authentication identification message to the first neighbor node.

    Abstract: A multimode apparatus and a communication method thereof are disclosed. If the multimode apparatus is chosen to serve as a relay station due to a base station having a backhaul link problem, it sets up a first relay link with a first base station. Upon receiving a request for releasing the first relay link from the first base station even though the backhaul link is not restored, the multimode apparatus sets up a second relay link with a second base station, or configures and operates a standalone network or an independent network.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for configuring a path in a communication system including an Xhaul network. A method for changing a path, performed by a first XDU, may comprise receiving from the XCU a path setup request message requesting to change a first path between the second XDU and the third XDU to a second path between the first XDU and the third XDU; receiving an SN status transfer message including an SN of data for the third XDU from the second XDU belonging to the first path, when the path setup request message is received; receiving from the second XDU the data corresponding to the SN indicated by the SN status transfer message; configuring the second path with the third XDU; and transmitting the data received from the second XDU to the third XDU through the second path.
