摘要: A latch assembly control method and, wherein a latch assembly is integrated with a motor having at least one gear thereof for actuating a plurality of components of the latch assembly. A geartooth sensor can be associated with the latch assembly, wherein the geartooth sensor senses a position of one or more gears, wherein the gear completes less than one revolution to thereby provide a known reference point registration and calibration of the latch assembly via data collected from the geartooth sensor.

摘要: Latching systems and methods are disclosed herein. A latch mechanism includes one or more sealed areas and one or more unsealed areas thereof. Also, a magnetic coupling mechanism is provided for coupling motion between the sealed area and the unsealed area and vice versa. The magnetic coupling mechanism can be configured to include a permanent magnet which generates a magnetic field for coupling the motion from the unsealed area to the sealed area and vice versa. The magnetic coupling mechanism can also be configured to include an electromagnet for generating a magnetic field for coupling thereof.

摘要: An electrical circuit arrangement includes an unlatching actuator, a primary power source and a secondary power source. The electrical circuit arrangement further includes an operator actuated switch and an electrically controlled bypass switch having an energized condition at which the bypass switch adopts a first switching configuration and a de-energized condition at which the bypass switch adopts a second switching configuration. The circuit has a first configuration in which the bypass switch is in the first switching configuration so that the primary power source, the operator actuated switch, the bypass switch and the unlatching actuator are configured so that actuation of the operator actuated switch causes the unlatching actuator to be energized by the primary power source. The circuit has a second configuration in which the bypass switch is in the second switching configuration so that the secondary power source, the operator actuated switch, the bypass switch and the unlatching actuator are configured so that actuation of the operator actuated switch causes the unlatching actuator to be energized by the secondary power source.

摘要: A latch arrangement includes a power control system which can be energized to prevent opening of a door latch by controlling the movement of a release mechanism within a latch. A sensor monitors an operative state of the release mechanism. In the event the sensor detects an unauthorized attempt to open a door, the power control system is energized, thereby preventing unauthorized opening of the latch. The sensor can monitor the direct movement of a door handle. Additionally, or alternatively, the sensor can monitor an internal component within the release mechanism to monitor movements indicative of movement of the door handle.

摘要: A door latch mechanism for a vehicle comprising a release lever operable by a door handle and a transmission path linkage containing a resiliently biased inertia device. During normal operation, the inertia device is biased to form a transmission path that transmits an unlatching movement from the release lever to release a latch bolt of the latch. If an impact on the vehicle creates an acceleration force above a predetermined level, the inertia device moves to break the transmission path, preventing the latch from being unlatched.

摘要: A latch mechanism includes a claw rotatable between a latched position and an unlatched position, and an actuator motor. A toggle link that includes a first end, a second end, and a joint between the first end and the second end of the toggle link has one end attached to the actuator motor. The other end of the toggle link interacting with the claw to rotate the claw between the latched position and the unlatched position. A pawl engages the claw when the claw is in a latched position. A release link is attached between the joint of the toggle link and the pawl.

The latch mechanism includes a latch bolt movable between a primary latched position and an open position. A first pawl secures and releases the latch bolt by moving between a latched position and released position. A release device moves between an engaged position, which allows the first pawl to reach an engaged position, and a released position, which retains the first pawl in its released position. A second pawl moves between an engaged position, which retains the release device in its released position, and a released position, which releases the release device.

摘要: A passenger vehicle door latch assembly includes inhibiting means for preventing accidental setting of the latch to locked condition while the door is open. A resiliently loaded plunger is guided in fixed structure between a blocking position at which a head or other stop formation of the plunger prevents shifting of an element of a locking mechanism to its locked position and a free position at which locking can take place. The plunger co-acts with a face of a claw or other latch formation or with a face of a pawl or other retention element whenever the latter formation or element are not in their door securing relationship so preventing movement of the plunger from the blocking position until the door is closed.

摘要: A latch system for an aperture closure includes a latch, an auxiliary retention device remote from the latch, an engaging member remote from the auxiliary retention device and a transmission path operably connecting the engaging member with the auxiliary retention device. The latch system is arranged such that movement of the aperture closure from an open position to a closed position causes the latch to move to the closed position and causes movement of the engaging member to cause the transmission path to move the auxiliary retention device to a closed position.
