    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a synchronization signal block (SSB) burst set including a first set of SSBs transmitted using a first codebook and a second set of SSBs transmitted using a second codebook. In some cases, the first codebook may be configured for beamforming at a first transmission distance range (e.g., for far field transmissions) and the second codebook may be configured for beamforming at a second transmission distance range (e.g., for near field transmissions). Based on transmitting the SSB burst, the base station may receive an indication of a first SSB from the first set or the second set from a user equipment (UE). The base station may then communicate messages to the UE using a transmission beam and codebook associated with the first SSB indicated by the UE.

A machine learning server may generate a low-dimensional parameter set representing training data for the machine learning server, the training data being associated with one or more communication environments or one or more channel environments, or a combination thereof. The machine learning server may receive, from one or more devices within a communication environment or within a channel environment, or both, a low-dimensional parameter set representing testing data associated with the communication environment or the channel environment, or both. The machine learning server may generate a reproducibility metric according to a correlation between the parameter set representing the training data and the parameter set representing the testing data. The machine learning server may transmit a message indicating the reproducibility metric to the one or more devices, and the one or more devices may perform communication procedures based on the reproducibility metric.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for indication of asymmetric default operating frequencies (DOFs) for bidirectional communications. In one aspect, a first device may report to the second device that the first device is using either a same DOF for communications in different transmission directions or different DOFs for the different transmission directions. Based on the reported DOF(s), the second device may use beam correspondence-based beam relationships on the different transmission directions if the DOFs are the same and resource block allocations for the communications in both transmission directions are closely matched in frequencies. Alternatively, if the DOFs are different for the different transmission directions, the second device may adjust either a codebook parameter or may use an appropriate antenna panel. Additionally, or alternatively, the second device may direct the first device to use respective antenna subarrays with similar DOFs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication to a base station that a total received power for the UE exceeds an overload threshold. In some cases, the indication may be an explicit request for a decrease in transmit power by a specific amount of reduction. The UE may transmit indications that the overload threshold is exceeded to multiple transmit/receive points. The indications may request specific transmit power reduction amounts that are specific to the TRPs, or may be generic indications that the overload threshold is exceeded, and the TRPs may coordinate to reduce their respective transmit powers to satisfy the overload threshold at the UE. The base station may allocate a first set of resources for near field UEs and a second set of resources for far field UEs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may indicate a dynamic beam correspondence operation for communications with a second device. For example, the dynamic beam correspondence operation may be declared in a time-dependent manner, for certain transmission configuration indication (TCI) states or time-dependent TCI states. Further, the first device may declare no beam correspondence and associated power savings and thermal reductions that result from the lack of beam correspondence. Subsequently, based on the dynamic beam correspondence operation, the second device may identify parameters (e.g., which TCI states, subarrays) for the first device to use for different modes or procedures (e.g., at a corresponding time) based on parameters that correspond to a full beam correspondence or no beam correspondence. For example, the parameters may be used for initial access, beam failure recovery, low power modes, or high temperature modes.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a transmitting device to provide reference signals to a receiving device for beam management according to an arbitrarily determined sequence of transmission beams at any time, and to implicitly convey information regarding the determined sequence of transmission beams to the receiving device. The transmitting device provides a message to the receiving device indicating a beam sequence conveyance mode. The transmitting device subsequently determines a sequence of different transmission beams, and associates a reference signal with each one of the transmission beams for transmission to the receiving device according to the sequence. The receiving device obtains the plurality of reference signals from the transmitting device, where each of the reference signals is associated with a different transmission beam. The receiving device identifies a reception beam for each of the transmission beams, and determines a sequence of the transmission beams in response to the identification.
