Abstract: An image pickup system includes an imaging unit provided to a gate unit, a gate descent detector configured to detect descent of the gate unit, an image clipper configured to clip a part of an image captured by the imaging unit, a memory configured to store an image clipped by the image clipper, and a driving start detector configured to detect driving start. The memory stores an image of an underfloor of a vehicle of a user clipped by the image clipper in a case where the gate descent detector detects the descent of the gate unit. The image clipper outputs the image of the underfloor of the vehicle stored in the memory in a case where the driving start detector detects the driving start.

Abstract: An information processing device comprises: a camera; a display screen for displaying a captured image; a line-of-sight sensor configured to detect a line of sight of a user and output line-of-sight information; a communication unit configured to provide communication with an image display device that is separate from the information processing device; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: determine whether a line-of-sight destination of the user is in the display screen based on the line-of-sight information while the camera is capturing an image; upon determining that the line-of-sight destination of the user is not in the display screen, transfer the captured image being displayed on the display screen to the image display device via the communication unit; and transmit, to the image display device, a display start signal for causing the image display device to display the captured image as transferred.

Abstract: A method for performing detection-based object searches includes receiving a user request indicating a region of interest, a timeframe of interest, or an object of interest. A signal is sent to cause execution of a query to identify object detections based on the user request. A signal representing at least one event identified in response to the query is received. For each event from the at least one event, a thumbnail image is identified based on the user request and using a ranking algorithm. A video frame identified based on the thumbnail image is received, and a video segment associated with the video frame is retrieved, A preview image clip that includes the video frame and the video segment is generated and displayed to a user associated with the user request.

Abstract: The subject disclosure presents systems and methods for automatically selecting meaningful regions on a whole-slide image and performing quality control on the resulting collection of FOVs. Density maps may be generated quantifying the local density of detection results. The heat maps as well as combinations of maps (such as a local sum, ratio, etc.) may be provided as input into an automated FOV selection operation. The selection operation may select regions of each heat map that represent extreme and average representative regions, based on one or more rules. One or more rules may be defined in order to generate the list of candidate FOVs. The rules may generally be formulated such that FOVs chosen for quality control are the ones that require the most scrutiny and will benefit the most from an assessment by an expert observer.
