    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive synchronization signal block (SSB) related measurement configurations exclusively in a system information block (SIB). The UE may receive SSB frequency lists for idle measurements in both a SIB or a radio resource control (RRC) message, such as an RRC release message. In some examples, the UE may receive SSB related measurement configurations or SSB frequency lists for idle measurements in a SIB and an RRC message. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may receive SSB frequency lists in a SIB and an RRC message, while SSB measurement configurations for SSB frequencies out of a sync raster may exclusively be indicated in the RRC message. The UE may therefore experience improved coverage and reliability and, in some examples, may promote low latency for wireless communications relating to multiple radio access technologies, among other benefits.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) reporting unified access control (UAC) measurements to a network. In an example operation, the UE receives a configuration from the network indicating one or more measurements (e.g., UAC measurements) to record. Thereafter, the UE performs an attempt to access the network and records the one or more measurements associated with the attempt. The UE then reports, to the network, an availability of the one or more measurements after the attempt is performed. The UE may then receive from the network a request for at least one measurement of the one or more measurements. If so, the UE reports the at least one measurement to the network. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station associated with a first radio access network (RAN) may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a paging message while the UE is operating in an inactive or idle mode on the first RAN and while the UE is operating in a connected mode on a second RAN. The UE may transmit a response rejecting the paging message to the base station associated with the first RAN, and the response may include information that causes the base station to release the UE to the inactive or idle mode. Accordingly, the base station may transmit, to the UE, a radio resource control message that includes information to release the UE to the inactive or idle mode on the first RAN.     Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for relaying and side link communication are provided. An example method may include receiving, from a BS via a controlled discovery procedure, a query to verify a sidelink procedure with at least one UE. The example method may further include establishing, via the BS as a L2 relay, the sidelink procedure with the at least one UE. The example method may further include switching from the sidelink procedure to a sidelink PDCP procedure with a hybrid mode, the BS being an L2 relay for the sidelink PDCP procedure. The example method may further include transmitting to the at least one UE via the BS as the L2 relay, or receiving, from the at least one UE via the BS as an L2 relay, one or more PDCP PDUs corresponding to L2.
