Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to improving layer 1 (L1)/layer 2 (L2) mobility in certain scenarios. In some aspects, an indication of mobility from a first cell in a candidate cell set configured for L1/L2 mobility to a second cell can be received, and one or more parameters related to mobility failure or mobility history or radio link failure (RLF) associated with the mobility to assist the network node in at least one of performing a subsequent L1/L2 mobility for the UE or avoiding RLF or mobility failure during the subsequent L1/L2 mobility can be transmitted. In other aspects, the indication of mobility can be transmitted and the one or more parameters can be received. In some aspects, a list of conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) change (CPC) configurations can be communicated following a PCell switch.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an indication of a mobility configured cell set having a number of cells. The method also includes receiving signaling to release a selected cell from the mobility configured cell set. The method further includes releasing the selected cell from the mobility configured cell set in response to receiving the signaling. In some aspects, releasing the selected cell comprises removing the selected cell from a carrier aggregation configuration. In other aspects, releasing the selected cell comprises removing a mobility configuration for the selected cell.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and/or a master node may use configurations to resume communications with one or more cells of a dual connectivity (DC) or carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. In some cases, the configuration may be used for a secondary cell group (SCG) of the DC scheme. This configuration may include the UE applying a previously stored configuration for the SCG (e. g., including higher-layer and lower-layer configurations of a last serving SN of the DC scheme) if it determines the previously stored configuration is valid. Additionally or alternatively, the configuration may include the network using a previous SCG configuration or reconfiguring the SCG and transmitting this indication in a resume communications message to the UE. In some cases, the network may determine this configuration based on assistance information or reports generated from the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may receive control signaling configuring at least a first UE operation mode and a second UE operation mode. The UE may transmit one or more uplink messages to a base station in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band using a first set of parameters according to the first UE operation mode. In some examples, the UE may receive a control message comprising an indication that the UE is to switch from communicating according to the first configured UE operation mode to communicating according to the second configured UE operation mode. The UE may then transmit, in response to the received indication, one or more uplink messages to the base station in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band using a second set of parameters according to the second UE operation mode.

In some systems, a first user equipment (UE) that is out-of-coverage of a base station and a second UE that is in-coverage of the base station may support signaling exchanges for transmitting or receiving a discovery message, an essential system information block (E-SIB), common SIB updates, or on-demand SIBs within a relaying network before and after a relay connection between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may receive the discovery message and the E-SIB via same or different signaling and may acquire or decode the E-SIB according to various techniques. The first UE may receive common SIB updates via a dedicated logical channel between the first UE and the second UE and the first UE may initiate on-demand SIB acquisition after establishment of the relay connection and based on a connection type of the first UE.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. A user equipment (UE) may use timers to maintain an ON duration in DRX. The UE may receive, via downlink control information (DCI), an indication of a feedback transmission opportunity (TxOP) for a HARQ process. The UE may activate a timer at the end of the TxOP regardless of whether the UE transmits feedback in the TxOP to ensure that the UE remains active. In some implementations, a base station may provide the UE with multiple opportunities to transmit a feedback message. The UE may reactivate a timer after each feedback TxOP for the same HARQ process or may activate the timer after the first feedback TxOP and may refrain from activating the timer after subsequent feedback TxOPs for the HARQ process.
