Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support techniques for operating repeaters based on sub-band power measurements. According to some aspects, sub-band-based power measurements may also allow a repeater to acquire other side information, e.g., time division duplex (TDD) downlink/uplink information or beam configuration information, more accurately. In aspects, a repeater determines one or more sub-band received-signal powers associated with one or more sub-bands of a bandwidth available for wireless communication, amplifies one or more signals received within at least one of the one or more sub-bands, and transmits the amplified one or more signals to at least one of a user equipment (UE) or a base station.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques of allocating time resources (or slots) based on a flexible pattern that allows allocation of a set of non-continuous time slots resources in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. In one example, the aggregation pattern may be indicated via a single downlink control information (DCI) message that carries explicit information regarding non-continuous time slot allocation. Features of the present disclosure may also include techniques to allow for early termination of transmission between the first node and the second node when the receiver (e.g., second node) successfully receives the data channel before the end of aggregated transmission. In such situation, the first node and the second node may cease transmission after reception of an acknowledgement (ACK) message that may allow the second node to utilize the subsequent time slots for communication with its own children on the next hop (e.g., third node).

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support network controlled repeater operation at new radio—unlicensed (NRU) bands. The network controlled repeater operations include receipt of a scheduling message from a serving base station that identifies an amplify and forward (AF) window and an offset prior to a beginning of the AF window. The relay node performs a listen before talk (LBT) procedure on a shared communication channel within the offset. In response to the result of the LBT, the relay node either refrains from AF operations within the AF window in response to failure of the LBT procedure or performs the AF operations on all received signals during the AF window in response to success of the LBT procedure. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. In an example, the aspects include receiving, by a wireless node, an indication of not-available (NA) resources of a parent node, the NA resources corresponding to a first set of one or more resources configured at the parent node as being unavailable for uplink and downlink communications between the parent node and the wireless node, wherein the indication of NA resources of the parent node comprises an invalid time division duplex (TDD)-uplink-downlink configuration; and refraining, by the wireless node, from communicating with the parent node within the NA resources based on the indication of NA resources of the parent node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support resource utilization based event triggering. A wireless node in a wireless communications system may establish a connection with a core network via a path that includes one or more relay nodes. The wireless node may determine that a network load associated with one or more paths between the wireless node and the core network has changed, or that a difference between two or more network loads of different paths has changed. Based on such a determination, the wireless node may transmit a report to the network. In some cases, the network may receive the report from the wireless node, and may initiate a path change based on the report.
