Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives a timing synchronization signal (TSS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), with the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within a broadcast channel transmission time interval (BCH TTI); determines the timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and demodulates the PBCH based at least in part on the TSS. In another method, a base station allocates resources for a TSS and a PBCH within a BCH TTI; determines the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and transmits, on the resources allocated for the TSS and the PBCH, the TSS and the PBCH, with the TSS transmitted as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for the PBCH on at least one port used to transmit the TSS and the PBCH.

Abstract: Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 3 measurements is accomplished at the cost of increased delay. Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 1 measurements minimized delay. A user equipment (UE) apparatus that is served by a serving cell of a base station receives, from the serving cell, a configuration to perform layer 1 (L1) measurements based on one or more reference signals from a non-serving cell. The UE also receives the one or more reference signals from the non-serving cell. The UE performs the L1 measurements on the one or more reference signals received from the non-serving cell based on the configuration received from the base station. The UE may perform the L1 measurements on a synchronization signal block (SSB), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), or a positioning reference signal (PRS) from the non-serving cell.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a resource configuration for communications with a base station on a multiple sets of resources across multiple component carriers, the resource configuration including at least a first set of resources on a first component carrier and a second set of resources on a second component carrier. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink control information (DCI) message on the first component carrier, the DCI message including a DCI format that controls the multiple of sets of resources across the plurality of component carriers. The UE may determine that the first set of resources and the second set of resources are one of activated or released based on a first indication in the DCI message.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at an integrated access and backhaul (TAB) node. The TAB node receives a first delay parameter and a second delay parameter associated with a packet, the first delay parameter being associated with a discard determination for the packet and the second delay parameter being associated with scheduling the packet for transmission. The TAB node performs a discard decision for the packet based on the first delay parameter associated or schedules the packet for transmission to a second TAB node or a user equipment (UE) using a second delay parameter associated with the packet. A central unit (CU) of an TAB network may indicate, to an TAB node, the second delay parameter for scheduling a packet and the first delay parameter for determining whether to discard the packet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for identification reinterpretation in sidelink control information (SCI) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE or device, on a sidelink channel, SCI. The SCI may include a partial source and destination identifier fields and may indicate to the second UE to apply a first interpretation of multiple different interpretations for the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Disclosed techniques provide for reliable and secure sharing of configuration parameters over physical layer reference signals. A first network node may transmit a first signal conveying a first phase to a second network node. The second network node may transmit a second signal conveying a second phase, the second phase based on the first phase and an authentication parameter common to the first and second network nodes. The first network node may determine that the second phase is based on the first phase and the authentication parameter. Based on determining that the second phase is based on the authentication parameter, the first network node may transmit a third signal conveying a third phase to the second network node, the third phase indicating a signature parameter. The first network node and the second network node may communicate based on the signature parameter.
