    Abstract: A 360-degree virtual reality (VR) video segmentation transmission system and a method are disclosed. The system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter designs a frame for transmitting a 360-degree VR video divided into multiple channels, based on a motion picture expert group (MPEG) transport stream (TS), and transmits a signal combining the designed frame and a header for each of the multiple channels. The receiver receives the signal from the transmitter for each channel, combines contents contained in the received signal through synchronization, and outputs the combined contents.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides communications apparatus and method using an On-off keying (OOK) modulation based low power wake-up protocol suitable for use in IoT devices. The communication method according to an exemplary embodiment includes: transmitting, by a main radio module of a master device, an OOK modulated wake-up radio signal by using a narrow frequency band between an ISM band and a guard band in the ISM band; receiving, by a low power wake-up radio module of a slave device, the wake-up radio signal and to demodulate according to an OOK modulation scheme and awaken a controller of the slave device in a sleep mode; and after the controller wakes up from the sleep mode, transmitting data to be transmitted to the master device, by the controller of the slave device, through the main radio module.

    Abstract: This application relates to a wide band gap (WBG) power semiconductor system. In one aspect, the system includes a controller configured to generate a switching control signal and a gate driver configured to receive the switching control signal and generate a switching drive signal in response to the switching control signal. The system also includes a WBG power semiconductor device coupled to the gate driver, comprising a gate terminal for receiving the switching drive signal, and configured to be switched in response to the switching drive signal. The switching drive signal has one of three signal levels: a first voltage level higher than a zero voltage level, a second voltage level lower than the zero voltage level, and the zero voltage level at an arbitrary instant. As a result, the gate driver drives the WBG power semiconductor device with the three voltage levels.

    Abstract: A power transmitting unit (PTU) for wireless power transmission (WPT) includes a communication transceiver and a power controller. The communication transceiver connects a communication link with at least one power receiving unit (PRU) through legacy communication and exchanges parameters necessary for the WPT through the connected communication link. The power controller is configured to transmit, to the PRU, a PTU beacon containing information about a dedicated power slot (DPS) allocated to the PRU in a super frame including a plurality of DPSs, to receive a PRU beacon from the PRU, to extract a phase difference between a plurality of antennas by analyzing a continuous wave (CW) of the PRU beacon, and to transmit power to the PRU in the allocated DPS in consideration of the phase difference.
