Abstract: A UE may receive, from a serving cell, an activation indication for an SCell, receiving a first reference signal from the SCell, the first reference signal including at least one temporary reference signal, identify whether a second reference signal is received after processing the activation indication and before an expiration of an SCell activation time, and activate, upon identifying that the second reference signal is received, the SCell based on one or more reference signals including at least one of the first reference signal or the second reference signal. The UE may activate the SCell no later than in slot n+K, and K may be determined based on at least in part the SCell activation time.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message scheduling multi-cell downlink transmissions over a set of carriers, at least two carriers in the set of carriers being associated with different downlink transmissions of the multi-cell downlink transmissions, the control message comprising frequency domain resource allocation information for a set of resource block groups for the at least two carriers in the set of carriers for the multi-cell downlink transmissions. The UE may receive the multi-cell downlink transmissions according to the frequency domain resource allocation information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive a control message scheduling a multicast transmission, where the UE may identify a closed loop power control parameter for transmitting acknowledgment feedback responsive to the multicast transmission based on the multicast transmission transmitted to multiple UEs. The closed loop power control parameter may be indicated by a base station in a separate message than a downlink control information (DCI) scheduling the multicast transmission. For example, the base station may transmit the indication of the closed loop power control parameter in a group-transmit power control DCI or in a configuration for transmitting sounding reference signals. Additionally, the UE may adjust a transmit power for the acknowledgment feedback based on whether or not a DCI scheduling a retransmission is received in a time window after transmitting the acknowledgment feedback.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may receive control signaling indicating a cell configuration associated with a first cell of a set of cells. The cell configuration may indicate a scheduling configuration associated with the first cell and a second cell of the set of cells for multicast communication. The device may monitor for a downlink control channel associated with the multicast communication on one or both of the first cell or the second cell based on the control signaling. The device may monitor for a downlink data channel associated with the multicast communication on one or both of the first cell or the second cell based on the monitoring of the downlink control channel. The device may receive the multicast communication on one or both of the first cell or the second cell based on the monitoring of the downlink data channel.

Abstract: A configuration of cross-carrier channel state information (CSI) reporting is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may be configured for CSI reporting, which includes multiple trigger states, in which some of these trigger states include at least one carrier indicator identifying at least one component carrier (CC) for CSI measurement. Upon receipt of a downlink control information (DCI) message including identification of one of the trigger states, the UE identifies at least one CSI report configuration which may be identified with an associated CC and identification of at least one CSI resource setting identified with the CC for each of the CSI report configurations. The UE may then perform CSI measurement for the identified CC based on the CSI report configuration and resource setting. The UE may then signal the CSI report, including the CSI measurement, to a serving base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a group-common physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), where the group-common PDSCH is repeated for a number of repetitions. Accordingly, the UE may determine this number of repetitions and then monitor for the group-common PDSCH based on the number of repetitions. In some implementations, the group-common PDSCH may include a semi-static repetition scheme, where the number of repetitions is indicated via a group aggregation factor. Additionally or alternatively, the group-common PDSCH may include a dynamic repetition scheme, where the number of repetitions is indicated via a group repetition number. Additionally, the techniques described herein may enable the configuration for the repeated group-common PDSCH to include gaps between each repetition of the group-common PDSCH and for the UE to transmit acknowledgment feedback for the repetitions of the group-common PDSCH.
