    Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to the present embodiment has, as operation modes, a normal operation power mode and a power-saving mode in which power consumption is lower than that of the normal operation power mode. The apparatus comprises a human detection sensor which is able to detect a user of the information processing apparatus. The apparatus shifts, based on a detection result of the human detection sensor, the operation mode of the information processing apparatus from the second power mode to the first power mode, and determines whether or not to shift the operation mode of the information processing apparatus to the second mode based on a detection result of the human detection sensor when a first predetermined time period has elapsed without receiving a user operation after shifting the operation mode to the first power mode.

    Abstract: A communication device may monitor an establishment of a first type of communication link between a communication device and an external device while the communication device is in a first state in which a P2P mode of an NFC standard is active and a first mode of the NFC standard is active. The communication device may send first data to the external device by using the first type of communication link. The first data may include a command for causing the external device to execute an activation of a particular application. The communication device may change the state of the communication device from the first state to a second state in which the P2P mode is active, and perform the two-way communication with the external device that operates the particular application by using a second type of communication link.

    Abstract: An image-outputting apparatus includes a network interface, a storage, an output unit for outputting images, a user interface for receiving user operations including a login operation, and a controller. The controller determines whether the login operation is accepted, and determines what type of machine operation is permitted for the logged user according to the account thereof. The controller receives notification data from a server. The notification data contains information to be transmitted to an authorized user to whom a specific account is assigned. In response to receiving notification data, the controller determines whether an authorized user is logged in. When the authorized user is logged in, the controller controls the output unit to output a notification image represented by the notification data. When the authorized user not is logged in, the controller stores the notification data in the storage.

    Abstract: An image processor includes: an information acquiring circuitry causing a first communicator to perform communication with a mobile terminal and acquires status information and identification information; an authentication circuitry performing a first authentication process on a basis of the identification information; a second communicator performing communication of image data with the mobile terminal; a display displaying an authentication waiting screen receiving an input of authentication information and a first post-authentication screen corresponding to first authentication information; and a controller selecting, on a basis of the status information, one of first and second operations on a condition that the first authentication process is successful when the display displays the authentication waiting screen. The first operation causes the display to display the first post-authentication screen.
