Abstract: An image classification method, apparatus, and device. The method includes: inputting a to-be-classified image dataset, where the image dataset includes to-be-classified images; cropping each of the to-be-classified images with a center of the to-be-classified image as a reference center point to obtain an image having a preset size and including a specific region as a standard image; selecting a pixel array of any single channel in the standard image and drawing a corresponding signal waveform graph based on the pixel array; and determining a type of the to-be-classified image. After the standard image including the specific region is obtained by cropping the to-be-classified image, the pixel array of the any single channel is selected from the standard image, and then the signal waveform graph is drawn based on the selected pixel array of the single channel, to classify the to-be-classified image based on the drawn signal waveform graph.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for analysis of microscopic image data which includes a data processing system. Pixel classification data for each of a plurality of pixels of the microscopic image data are read. The pixel classification data include for each of the pixels of the microscopic image data, binary or probabilistic classification data for classifying the pixel of the microscopic image data into one or more object classes of pre-defined objects which are shown by the image. At least a portion of the pixels of the microscopic image data are grouped to form one or more pixels groups. For each of the pixel groups, probabilistic group classificati on data are calculated depending on the pixel classification data of the pixels of the respective group. The probabilistic group classification data are indicative of a probability that the group shows at least a portion of an object of the respective object class.

Abstract: A framework for medical and surgical support enables remote guidance for implantations of medical devices during medical procedures and integrates video conferencing technology to enable product support specialists to provide support to medical personnel for such implantations in an operating facility during interactive collaboration sessions. The framework enables individuals wearing augmented reality-enabled display devices to communicate in real time with such product support specialists for medical devices who are not physically present in an operative theater, to promote and maintain sterile environments and protect the health and safety of the various participants in such collaboration sessions. The framework includes real-time, secure communication capabilities from, to, and between such medical personnel and any product support specialist client. The framework further includes hardware components and software elements that enable gesture detection and interpretation. The framework also enables instruments and devices to be tracked, monitored, and verified before, during, and after medical procedures using image processing techniques that allow for object detection and recognition.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for classifying biomedical images. A feature classifier may generate a plurality of tiles from a biomedical image. Each tile may correspond to a portion of the biomedical image. The feature classifier may select a subset of tiles from the plurality of tiles by applying an inference model. The subset of tiles may have highest scores. Each score may indicate a likelihood that the corresponding tile includes a feature indicative of the presence of the condition. The feature classifier may determine a classification result for the biomedical image by applying an aggregation model. The classification result may indicate whether the biomedical includes the presence or lack of the condition.

Abstract: As described herein, various embodiments of the present invention disclose techniques that improve efficiency of performing image-based machine learning operations on large images while limiting accuracy drawbacks of partial processing of those large images by using composite-tiled image embeddings for composite-tiled images generated by merging multiple tiled images that are generated using multiple tiling mechanisms. For example, in some embodiments, given an input image that comprises R image regions, each tiled image comprises N selected image regions of the R image regions that are selected in accordance with a tiling mechanism (where N

Abstract: Systems and methods for defining a relationship between a surgical object and a tracker coupled to the surgical object. A first optical sensor senses light in an infrared spectrum or a near-infrared spectrum. A second optical sensor senses light in a visible light spectrum. Controller(s) acquire one or more first images of the tracker from the first optical sensor and acquire one or more second images of the surgical object from the second optical sensor. The controller(s) recognize a pose of the tracker based on the one or more first image and recognize a geometry of the surgical object based on the one or more second images. The controller(s) correlate the recognized pose of the tracker and the recognized geometry of the surgical object to define a relationship between the tracker and the surgical object.
