Abstract: A scheduling request (SR) configuration method and sending method, and a corresponding apparatus are provided, to resolve a prior-art problem of a scheduling request configuration method and sending method, and a corresponding apparatus. The scheduling request configuration method includes: receiving, by a user equipment (UE), control signaling sent by a network device, where the control signaling is used to configure, for the UE, an SR configuration associated with at least one logical channel and at least two SR resource configurations associated with the SR configuration, and the SR resource configurations indicate physical resources used to signal an SR associated with the at least one logical channel; and signaling, by the UE based on a physical resource indicated by one of the at least two SR resource configurations, an SR associated with one of the at least one logical channel.

Abstract: This application discloses a path switching method that includes: sending, by a first terminal, a first message to a first network device, where the first message is used to request to switch a second terminal from an indirect connection path for communicating with the first network device by using the first terminal to a direct connection path for communicating with the first network device or a second network device, or the first message is used to request to release a link between the first terminal and the second terminal, and the first network device is different from the second network device; and releasing, by the first terminal, the link between the first terminal and the second terminal. With this solution, a relay terminal can trigger switching of a remote terminal from an indirect connection path to a direct connection path, to adapt to a relay scenario more flexibly.

Abstract: This application provides a pending SR cancellation method and an apparatus. In the method, when a specific condition is met, a terminal cancels a pending SR triggered by an uplink BSR, and when some other conditions are met, the terminal cancels a pending SR triggered by a sidelink BSR. In other words, the terminal may independently cancel the SR triggered by the uplink BSR and the SR triggered by the sidelink BSR. When canceling the SR triggered by the uplink BSR, the terminal may not cancel the SR triggered by the sidelink BSR, so that when sidelink data has a relatively high latency requirement.

Abstract: A timer control method includes a receiving device that performs re-establishment or data recovery on a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer of the receiving device. The PDCP layer stops the running of a reordering timer of the PDCP layer when the reordering timer is in a running state, where the reordering timer enables the PDCP layer to wait to receive a lost data packet. Because the reordering timer is stopped from running rather than expires, the PDCP layer does not update a value of RX_DELIV.
