Abstract: Devices and associated methods for operating a dual-subscriber identity module (SIM) dual-standby (DSDS) user equipment device (UE) configured with a first SIM and a second SIM. The UE performs communications with a first cellular network using the first SIM and a first radio resource control (RRC) connection, and receives a request to perform a higher priority communication using the second SIM. In response to the request to perform the higher priority communication, the UE transmits a request to the first network to suspend the first RRC connection. After transmission of the request to suspend the first RRC connection, the UE receives a message from the first network to place the first RRC connection in an inactive state, and initiates a timer, wherein the timer is used to determine whether the first RRC connection remains in the inactive state or transitions to an idle state.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods for enhancing uplink (UL) repetitions for an associated transport block. A user equipment device (UE) may be configured to transmit an indication of cancellation of remaining UL repetitions to a network, e.g., to a network entity, such as a base station, e.g., based, at least in part, on monitored channel conditions. Additionally, a network, e.g., a network entity such as a base station, may be configured to transmit an indication of cancellation of remaining UL repetitions to a UE, e.g., based on successful reception of the associated transport block.

The wireless device may establish a data connection(s) with a network over a Wi-Fi or cellular interface and monitor the data connection(s) for a data stall condition(s)/hint(s). The wireless device may perform a remedial action(s) responsive to detection of a data stall condition(s)/hint(s), including initiating a service recovery of the cellular interface, initiating a radio access technology (RAT) upgrade procedure, and/or initiating a handover procedure to a neighbor cell.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform master cell group failure recovery in a dual connectivity cellular communication system. The wireless device may establish a first wireless link to a cellular network via a first cell group. The first cell group may be configured as a master cell group for the wireless device. The wireless device may establish a second wireless link to the cellular network via a second cell group. The second cell group may be configured as a secondary cell group for the wireless device. The wireless device may determine that link failure for the first wireless link has occurred. The wireless device may perform master cell group link failure recovery using the second wireless link based at least in part on the link failure for the first wireless link.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing implicit radio resource control state transitions in a cellular communication system. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a cellular base station. A data inactivity timer length and a target RRC state for implicit RRC transitions may be determined. A data inactivity timer having the determined data inactivity timer length may be initiated. It may be determined that the data inactivity timer has expired. The wireless device may transition to the target RRC state based at least in part on determining that the data inactivity timer has expired.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to broadcast information block assistance for a wireless device. The wireless device may obtain a first plurality of broadcast information blocks from a first base station. The wireless device may receive a second plurality of broadcast information blocks associated with the first base station from a source other than the first base station. The wireless device may determine if the second plurality of broadcast information blocks match the first plurality of broadcast information blocks based on version information specified in the first plurality of broadcast information blocks. When the broadcast information blocks match, the wireless device may use the first and second pluralities of broadcast information blocks to perform communication with the first base station without obtaining the second plurality of information blocks from the first base station.

It may be determined that cellular service loss is currently occurring from a cell for which cellular service history information relating to cellular service loss occasions is stored. Cellular service recovery may be attempted using the cellular service history information relating to cellular service loss occasions for the cell from which the current cellular service loss is occurring.
