    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE and a network device for wireless communication. The UE sends an indication to a network device indicating a capability of receiving a PWS signal and/or a delay requirement for receiving the PWS signal. The UE receives, from the network device, a configured DRX cycle value associated with the indication and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal associated with the configured DRX cycle value. The network device determines whether the UE is capable of receiving the PWS signal and whether the UE desires to receive the PWS signal within a duration. The network device configures a DRX cycle value based on the determination and sends, to the UE, the configured DRX cycle value and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal based on the configured DRX cycle value. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable medium for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station (BS) associated with a fifth generation New Radio (5G NR) radio access technology (RAT), a command of mobility from the 5G NR RAT to a second RAT. The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for supporting flexible radio access network (RAN) node identifiers in a network are provided. In one technique, a cell identity of a cell associated with a base station in a network is determined. An identifier of the base station is determined from the cell identity based on a partitioning of an identifier space used for identifying cells in the network. A message that includes at least one of the identifier of the base station or the cell identity associated with the base station is transmitted. In another technique, a user equipment may determine whether to take one or more actions while transitioning from operating in an inactive mode to operating in a connected mode based on the identifier of the base station.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a master node (MN) may receive an acknowledgment message from a secondary node (SN). The MN and the SN may provide dual connectivity with a core network for a user equipment. The MN may provide an address indication message to the SN. The address indication message may include MN downlink transport network layer (TNL) information for an SN terminated data radio bearer (DRB) that requires master cell group (MCG) resources. The address indication message may be provided in a first message that immediately follows the acknowledgment message. In some aspects, the SN may receive the address indication message, and may forward, based at least in part on the MN downlink TNL information, downlink data for the SN terminated DRB that requires MCG resources.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reference signal monitoring and transmission for remote interference management. In some cases, an aggressor base station decides to monitor for reference signals (RSs) transmitted from at least one victim BS, for example, regardless of an amount of interference from at least one remote BS detected by the first base station and participating in a remote interference mitigation (RIM) process based on the monitored RS. In some cases, a first BS transmits reference signals (RSs) as part of a remote interference mitigation (RIM) process, in response to a determination that it is an aggressor BS whose downlink transmissions possibly interfere with reception of uplink transmissions by at least one remote BS, a victim BS whose reception of uplink transmissions are possibly interfered with by downlink transmissions from the at least one remote BS, or both an aggressor BS and a victim BS.

    Abstract: Methods for performing a handover in wireless communications for a user plane function (UPF) are disclosed. In an aspect, the method includes establishing a tunnel between the UPF and a target base station based on information in a path switch preparation request for a make before break handover of a user equipment (UE) from a source base station to the target base station, the path switch preparation request being received in response to a request originating by the target base station. The method further includes bi-casting a downlink data packet unit (PDU) to a source base station and to the target base station with a same sequence number (SN) in a tunnel protocol, receiving PDUs from the source base station and the target base station with corresponding PDUs having the same SNs in the tunnel protocol and discarding received duplicate PDUs based on the SNs in the tunnel protocol.
