Abstract: Support for multicast and broadcast data transmissions and acknowledgement feedback for the transmissions are being considered in 5G new radio (NR). Resource allocation techniques are provided to allocate uplink control channel resources for acknowledgement of downlink multicast/broadcast (MC/BC) data transmissions. An apparatus, such as a user equipment, receives a multicast/broadcast (MC/BC) configuration indicating a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource set for transmitting MC/BC acknowledgment (ACK)/negative acknowledgment (NACK), and a unicast configuration indicating a second PUCCH resource set for transmitting unicast ACK/NACK feedback. The apparatus also receives MC/BC data from a base station. The apparatus determines a first PUCCH resource from the first PUCCH resource set for transmitting MC/BC ACK/NACK feedback in response to the received MC/BC data and based on the received MC/BC configuration. The apparatus transmits the MC/BC ACK/NACK feedback to the base station in the determined first PUCCH resource.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a deadline prior to a first uplink transmission associated with a secondary cell group (SCG), wherein the first uplink transmission is associated with a first priority level; determine whether to perform a second uplink transmission associated with a master cell group (MCG), wherein the second uplink transmission is initiated after the deadline, and wherein the second uplink transmission is associated with a second priority level; and adjust a transmit power of the first uplink transmission based at least in part on at least one of: determining whether to perform the second uplink transmission, or the first priority level and the second priority level. Abstract: Support for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment feedback for multiple multicast services in 5G new radio (NR) is provided. Resource allocation techniques are provided to allocate uplink control channel resource for acknowledgment of downlink multicast data transmissions associated with one or more multicast services. An apparatus, such a user equipment (UE), receives multicast data associated with one or more multicast services from a base station. The apparatus determines an uplink resource, such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource, for transmitting multicast acknowledgement feedback, such as positive acknowledgement (ACK)/negative acknowledgement (NACK) feedback, in response to the received multicast data. The apparatus transmits the acknowledgement feedback for the one or more multicast services to the base station in the determined uplink resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a multicast service available for subscription by the UE or to which the UE is already subscribed. The UE may transmit a message, to a network node, that may include UE assistance information (UAI) indicating at least one of a UE capability to process multicast transmissions or a feedback scheme preference for reporting feedback for the multicast transmissions. The UAI may also include at least one of a multicast carrier preference, band or carrier measurement report, a multicast priority indication, or a measurement and reporting scheme preference for the multicast transmissions. The network node may receive the UAI and determine one or more parameters for multicast communications with the UE based on the UAI. The UE may receive the multicast transmissions from the network node in accordance with the UAI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may order assignment indicator values for transmissions for use by feedback information in a feedback message. The UE may receive, during a monitoring occasion, a first control information over a first serving cell and a second control information over a second serving cell, where each control information schedules a respective transmission for a scheduled serving cell. The UE may order assignment indicator values for the transmissions based on indexes associated with the first and second serving cells (e.g., scheduling serving cells), an index associated with the scheduled serving cell, a start time of the transmissions, or some combination thereof, among other examples. The assignment indicator values may be associated with hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ/ACK) feedback, such that the UE may use the assignment indicator values to construct and transmit a feedback message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently facilitating acknowledgment (ACK) or negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback from a user equipment (UE) for a set of transport blocks in one or more multicast transmissions from a base station. The UE may determine control channel resources for transmitting the ACK/NACK feedback, and each respective control channel resource may correspond to a distinct subset of the set of transport blocks. Once the UE determines a subset of transport blocks that the UE failed to decode (such as at least one transport block), the UE may determine a respective control channel resource that corresponds to the at least one transport block that the UE failed to decode. The UE may transmit ACK/NACK feedback on the respective control channel resource, which, in some examples, may indicate that the UE failed to decode the subset of transport blocks.

A user equipment (UE) may monitor a downlink channel for one or more downlink control information (DCI) messages, including a first set of DCI messages that schedule a single cell and a second set of DCI messages that schedule a set of cells. The UE may, based on a threshold, perform a first size alignment operation to reduce a quantity of different sizes of DCI messages included in the second set of DCI messages. The UE may then perform a second size alignment operation to further reduce the quantity of different sizes of DCI messages included in the first set of DCI messages based on the first size alignment operation. The UE may determine payload sizes of the DCI when the DCI schedules one or more inactive or dormant cells, which may support efficient decoding and alignment of multiple DCI.
