摘要: A flow control assembly includes a manifold coupled to a positive displacement pump. A fluid input unit is coupled to the fluid inlet and includes a diluent input to receive a diluent and a concentrate input to receive a selectively adjustable flow of a liquid concentrate. A mixing chamber combines the diluent and the liquid concentrate to form a mixed solution to be delivered to the pump. A bypass unit has a bypass conduit to receive a high pressure mixed fluid from the pump. A bypass valve is positionable within the manifold between a closed position and an open position. The bypass valve is closed when the high pressure mixed fluid is below a threshold pressure and open when the high pressure mixed fluid is above the threshold pressure. A portion of the high pressure mixed fluid is reintroduced to the mixing chamber via the bypass inlet.

摘要: A metering valve is installed in a feed passage that supplies low pressure fuel, which is fed from a feed pump, to a pressurizing chamber. The metering valve adjusts a discharge amount of the low pressure fuel discharged from the pressurizing chamber. A first pressure regulating valve is opened in a case where a pressure of the low pressure fuel becomes equal to or larger than a first preset pressure. A second pressure regulating valve is opened in a case where the pressure of the low pressure fuel becomes equal to or larger than a second preset pressure. The first pressure regulating valve and the second pressure regulating valve are configured such that a degree of responsiveness of valve opening and closing of the second pressure regulating valve is higher than a degree of responsiveness of valve opening and closing of the first pressure regulating valve.

摘要: An apparatus includes a bootstrap accumulator having multiple fluid expansion volumes each configured to receive fluid. The bootstrap accumulator also includes a piston assembly configured to move within the fluid expansion volumes based on pressures within the fluid expansion volumes. The piston assembly includes (i) a fluid pathway that couples the fluid expansion volumes and (ii) a bypass valve configured to selectively open or block the fluid pathway. The piston assembly could also include multiple pistons and a connecting rod coupling the pistons. The fluid pathway could include a narrower path through a first portion of the connecting rod and a wider path through a second portion of the connecting rod. The bypass valve could include a ball and a spring configured to push the ball to block the narrower path through the first portion of the connecting rod.

摘要: A pump intake pressure control apparatus includes an intake conduit joining a pump to either a pressurized or unpressurized liquid source, a wide-range flow controller configured to control the flow of liquid through the intake conduit, pressure sensors for detecting the pressure of the liquid in the intake conduit upstream and downstream of the flow controller, and an electronic master controller programmed to receive input from the pressure sensors and to actuate the wide-range flow controller to maintain the pressure downstream of the wide-range flow controller at or below a predetermined desired value. In one embodiment of the invention, the wide-range flow controller is a branched portion of the intake conduit having a valve in each branch. In another embodiment of the invention, the flow controller is a gate valve having a stationary triangular blocking member projecting into the passage between the inlet and outlet ports of the valve.

摘要: A pump has at least one pump element that comprises a pump piston that is driven in a reciprocating movement by a drive shaft having at least one cam and that defines a pump working chamber which, during the suction stroke of the pump piston is selectively filled with pumped medium via an inlet valve. The at least one cam is a multiple cam having multiple cam delivery areas for the delivery strokes of the pump piston. The inlet valve is configured to be electrically actuated. The inlet valve is closed when the pump piston is situated in the cam delivery area to be used for the delivery. The inlet valve is opened when the pump piston is situated in a cam delivery area that is not to be used for the delivery. Cam profiles of the cam delivery areas of at least one multiple cam are of different design.

摘要: A relief valve assembly is provided for use in connection with high pressure and ultrahigh pressure pumps. The relief valve assembly includes a valve pin having an engagement portion with a tapered surface and a valve seat having a valve pin receiving aperture defining a tapered surface on the valve seat to sealingly mate with the engagement portion of the valve pin when the valve pin is seated against the valve seat in a seated configuration. The valve seat further includes at least one bypass passage that extends from the valve pin receiving aperture to an exterior surface of the valve seat such that when the valve pin is displaced away from the seated configuration fluid can pass through the bypass passage and an annular space created between the engagement portion of the valve pin and the valve seat. Systems incorporating the relief valve assembly are also provided.
