摘要: In accordance with one or more embodiments, this disclosure describes a viscoelastic fluid for a subterranean formation comprising: viscoelastic surfactant comprising the general formula: where R1 is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group of from 17 to 29 carbon atoms, R2 and R3, are each independently selected from a straight chain or branched alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R4 is selected from H, hydroxyl, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl groups of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; k is an integer of from 2-20; m is an integer of from 1-20; and n is an integer of from 0-20; brine solution; and at least one nanoparticle viscosity modifier comprising a particle size of 0.1 to 500 nanometers, or 0.1 to 100 nanometers.

摘要: A date tree trunk-based lost circulation material (LCM) is provided. The date tree trunk LCM includes date tree trunk fibers produced from date tree trunks. The date tree trunks may be obtained from the date tree waste produced by the processing of date trees in the production of date fruits. The date tree trunk LCM may include fibers having lengths less than 8 millimeters (5 mm) and having an aspect ratio range of 10 to 15. Methods of lost circulation control using a date tree trunk LCM and manufacture of a date tree trunk LCM are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method to form or obtain a high performance aqueous phase polymer fluid, which is a seawater-based drilling fluid for well drilling in low gradient formations. It is formulated based on liquid state polymer chemical products, easy to aggregate, and quickly mixed; a preparation and homogenization process that reduces preparation times, designed to drill hydrocarbon-producing deposits, focusing on minimizing damages to the producing formations, with a high rate of circulation loss in naturally fractured deposits. The system is environmentally-friendly, it complies with the main functions required of drilling fluids, while also providing a high inhibition control by swelling and dispersion of clay zones, due to the polymeric nature of the materials with which it is formulated. It is a fluid that does not contain solids in its formulation and provides an excellent transport and cleaning of drilling shears in the well.

摘要: The embodiments herein relate generally to subterranean formation operations and, more particularly, to surfactant flowback aids for use in subterranean formation operations. The surfactant flowback aid composition may comprise an aqueous phase comprising an aqueous base fluid, a surfactant blend, and a demulsifier. The surfactant blend may comprise a C8-C18 alcohol ethoxy-late; a fatty acid alkanolamide; and optionally, a surfactant selected from the group consisting of a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, and any combination thereof. The demulsifier may be selected from the group consisting of a desalter agent to separate water from crude oil, a treater agent to flocculate submicron particulates from crude oil, and any combination thereof.
