    Abstract: A surgical device for intraoperative angle measurements during surgery. The surgical device includes a shaft having a bone probe configured to remain in contact with cortical bone of the patient while a user orients the shaft to a desired orientation. The device includes a housing having an electronic circuit configured to measure an orientation angle. The electronic circuit may include: an input device configured to receive user input data; a measurement circuit configured to measure a change in orientation of the shaft in relation to a reference axis; a control circuit coupled to the input device and measurement circuit and configured to determine the orientation angle of the shaft relative to the reference axis; and an output device configured to communicate the orientation angle to the user. The device includes a power supply configured to provide power to the electronic circuit.

    Abstract: A surgical stapler including a body assembly; a shaft assembly that extends distally from the body assembly; a stapling head assembly disposed at a distal end of the shaft assembly, wherein the stapling head assembly is operable to drive a plurality of staples into tissue, wherein the stapling head assembly comprises a closure shaft that is selectively movable longitudinally; and an anvil configured to form the staples, wherein the anvil is selectively coupleable with and actuatable by the closure shaft, wherein the anvil includes one or more sensors each configured to detect a parameter associated with at least one of closure or firing of the end effector; a processor configured to receive signals from the one or more sensors, wherein the signals are indicative of the parameter detected by the one or more sensors; a transmitter configured to transmit the signals; and a battery configured to power the processor.

    Abstract: A biopsy site marker includes a carrier and a marker element. The carrier is configured to expand in diameter in response to moisture. The marker element includes a base portion. The base portion defines a plurality of interconnected legs. Each leg is configured to move relative to another leg to permit movement of the marker element from a pre-deployment configuration to a post-deployment configuration. The base portion is disposed around an outer surface of the carrier. The carrier is configured to drive movement of the marker element from the pre-deployment configuration to the post-deployment configuration.
