    摘要: An assembly for transferring information to and/or from flexible sheet media in a highly advantageous curved configuration is disclosed. The sheet material includes a length and a width defining first and second opposing surfaces. The assembly includes support means for supporting the sheet the curved configuration across its width, having the first surface inwardly oriented with respect to the curved configuration. Thereafter, moving means moves the flexible sheet material so supported in a direction along a read/write path generally parallel to the sheet material length and transverse to the direction of curvature. A read/write arrangement is provided which is configured for reading and/or writing information across the width of the first surface of the sheet as the sheet is moved along the path in the curved configuration. In one feature, means is provided for rotationally moving the read/write arrangement in a predetermined way in the housing such that the read/write arrangement is in a confronting relationship with the first, inwardly oriented surface and cooperates with the movement provided by the sheet material moving means so as to cause the read/write arrangement to sequentially read information from and/or write information to the inwardly oriented, first surface of the sheet as the read/write arrangement traverses the width of the flexible sheet material while the latter is on the read/write path in the curved configuration. In another feature, a read and/or write operation may be performed on the second, outwardly oriented surface of the sheet material.

The resulting self-portrait has the attributes of selectable pose, selectable background, selectable print size and/or selectable border.

    摘要: An image reading apparatus can read images on film and is capable of alternating between 35 mm film and a roll of film. The apparatus includes a light source, a photoelectric converter, a film transport that transports film past a reading position to which the light is emitted and the photoelectric converter reads, and two insertion openings. The light source illuminates the film so that the photoelectric converter can read the illuminated images and output an image signal. The film transport transports the film to the reading position. A first insertion opening is used for inserting a roll of film (e.g., in a cartridge), while a second insertion opening is used for inserting 35 mm film (e.g., on a film mount).

    摘要: A method of correcting output image squareness in a laser printer system having a Raster Output Scanning (ROS) device with a pivotal mounting. The method includes printing a test pattern that includes a plurality of markers printed in a predetermined geometric arrangement and calculating a skew angle based on the measured distances, preferably using the Law of Cosines. The ROS device is then automatically rotated by an amount sufficient to correct the skew angle. The ROS rotation is performed automatically by an adjustment system connected to the ROS. The method optionally includes a scanner for scanning the test pattern image and making the measurements automatically via a program configured to analyze the scanned image.

    摘要: An image management apparatus that transmits image data to an image processing apparatus is provided. The image management apparatus includes a sound input unit that inputs voice message relating to image data photographed by a digital camera. When one of the image data is selected and a voice message relating to the selected image data is input via the sound input unit, a translation unit of the image management apparatus automatically extracts keywords from the voice message. The translation unit determines one of the keywords as a title, and sets the title as a file name of the image data.
