    摘要: A light weight saber saw with reduced numbers of mechanical components and capable of preventing liquid and dust from entering interior of a housing. A plunger reciprocates only in its axial direction in conformity with a longitudinal direction of the housing. A blade holding portion is pivotally movably connected to a front end of the plunger. The blade holding portion includes a plunger chip through which a rear end of a blade is insertable, and a blade holder covering the plunger chip. The blade holder has a track side corresponding to tooth side of the blade, and a track having an inclined track surface is provided at the track side. The housing rotatably supports a roller in rolling contact with the track surface. When the blade is retractingly moved into the housing, the blade holding portion and the blade are pivotally moved totether toward a workpiece by the contact between the roller and the track surface.

    摘要: The pipe cutter attachment has a way mounted on a portable power saw with a reciprocating saw blade. The way is mounted on the power saw by an attaching assembly that accommodates the power saw that is used. A pipe holder block is slidably supported by the way. A pipe receiving slot with an open end is formed in the pipe holder block. The saw blade is in a saw blade slot in the pipe holder block. During cutting of a pipe the saw blade moves into the pipe receiving slot, engages a pipe to be cut and moves toward the open end of the pipe receiving slot. A resilient member urges the pipe holder block toward a position in which the saw blade is in the pipe holder block and ready to engage and cut a pipe seated in the pipe receiving slot.

    摘要: An oscillating surgical saw and instrumentation system has an oscillating surgical saw and instrumentation for guiding the saw. The oscillating saw has a body or handle having guide pin holders disposed on opposite sides thereof and extending longitudinally therealong. Retractable guide pins are mounted in the guide pin holders. Resilient means are disposed in each guide pin holder which force the respective guide pin mounted therein longitudinally outward. The system further includes instrumentation for guiding the saw. The instrumentation comprises at least one cutting block. The cutting block is affixed to the bone being cut and has holes, which are preferably slots, for receiving the guide pins. These slots lie in planes which are parallel to planes in wich resected surfaces of the bone lie after they have been formed by cuts made to the bone.When the saw is used to cut bone, the cutting block is secured to the bone and the guide pins inserted into the holes in the cutting block. The cutting block and guide pins cooperate to secure the saw, cutting block, and bone against movement in all planes except the plane in which the saw is cutting to reduce the transmission of vibration from the bone being cut through the saw. The associated guide pin holes guide the saw blade as it cuts bone. As the saw blade cuts progressively deeper into the bone, the guide pins are forced into their guide pin holders so as not to interfere with the advancement of the saw blade into the bone.

    摘要: A scroll saw has a base including integral walls forming a gear casing, a frame assembly mounted on the base, and lower and upper oscillating arm members pivotally mounted on the frame assembly. The gear casing houses gear and counterweight assemblies for driving and counterbalancing the oscillating motion of the lower and upper arm members. A saw blade is removably mounted between corresponding free ends of the lower and upper reciprocating arm members. The ends of the saw blade are prepositioned between a pair of blade holders, and the entire assembly of blade and blade holders is then attached as a unit to the free ends of the arm members. Blade tension is adjusted by means of a tensioning system that indexes blade tension to rotation of a tension knob. The saw further includes a nonflexible tube which functions as a combination airblaster and blade guard for directing an air stream into a cutting area to remove sawdust and other debris while preventing accidental contact with the saw blade.

    摘要: A sawing apparatus includes a guide and a pair of oppositely reciprocable saw blades mounted in a groove of the guide. Mounting portions of the saw blades disposed within the groove slidingly engage one another within an interface plane. Each saw blade includes a cutting portion disposed outside of the groove and carrying outwardly set teeth and inwardly set teeth. The inwardly set teeth extend toward and beyond the interface plane. Feed forces can be applied from the guide to the saw blades by inclined end edges of plates which form the guide. The end edges are inclined obliquely so as to face away from the interface plane and engage correspondingly inclined surfaces of the saw blades. Alternatively, feed forces can be applied to back shoulders of the mounting portions of the saw blades by a member which extends between the guide plates within the groove.
