Abstract:
A wet and dry vacuum cleaner system is disclosed, wherein the system includes a debris container having an inlet and outlet, a filter support having a filter and being adapted to situate at least a portion of the filter within the container and intermediate between the inlet and outlet, a vacuum unit adapted to be coupled to the container, and a housing. A wet/dry vacuum appliance system is also disclosed, which includes means for housing a vacuum unit, means for slidably receiving a debris container, and means for releasably holding the container in sealed engagement with the vacuum unit. In addition, methods of removing debris from such a vacuum cleaner and vacuum appliance systems are described.
Abstract:
A compressor housing defines an inlet bore having a first inlet collar disposed therein. The inlet collar is connected to the housing with a first plurality of radially extending posts. The first plurality of posts is removed to detach the inlet collar from the housing, and the inlet collar is removed from the housing. The same or another inlet collar is concentrically located within a liner. The liner can be located at a radial distance around at least a portion of the inlet collar. The inlet collar is connected to the liner by radially inserting a second plurality of posts through the liner and into the inlet collar. An assembly of the liner containing the inlet collar is inserted into the inlet bore of the housing such that the inlet collar forms the inducer bore of the compressor housing.
Abstract:
The invention resides in an apparatus for treatment of a substance. The apparatus has a substance tube for enabling a substance to be treated to pass in to the substance tube via the substance-inlet and out of the substance tube through the substance-outlet. The apparatus also has a cleaning chamber, wherein the substance tube is configured in fluid communication with the cleaning chamber to enable a substance to diffuse the permeable membrane between the substance tube and the cleaning chamber such that a substance can be substantially cleaned by a cleaner, the substance comprising blood or plasma and the cleaner comprising a cell culture. The substance tube is removably connectable with the cleaning chamber for inter-changeability or serviceability. The apparatus can further comprise a support compartment configured to connect to, or enclosing, the cleaning chamber, which functions to carry a fluid to substantially maintain the functionality of the cleaner.
Abstract:
A method of repairing a flange of a casing for an airplane turboprop or turbojet, in which the flange includes at least one through hole for passing a bolt for fastening equipment, and the hole opens out in a face of the flange that is worn by friction against the equipment, disclosed. The method includes mounting a bearing member on the flange. The bearing member includes a radial wall covering the worn face of the flange. The wall includes a hole that comes into register with the hole in the flange and having thickness for compensating the wear of the face of the flange. The member further includes an abutment for bearing against the periphery of the flange, and being fastened to the flange by adhesive.
Abstract:
A head unit for fixing a liquid jet head which ejects liquid includes a base component and movable component that slides on the base component and to which the liquid jet head is fixed. A fixing screw fixes the movable component to the base component. A locating member attached to the base component limits a movement direction in which the movable component moves. The movable component has a contact portion touching the locating member and first and second tapered surfaces formed thereon. A vector normal to the first tapered surface has a first component vector extending in the movement direction. A vector normal to the second tapered surface has a second component vector that is opposite the first component vector and extends in the movement direction. The base component has first and second pins accessible to the first and second tapered surfaces, respectively.
Abstract:
A top drive system with a plurality of top drive modules, which are configured to be quickly exchanged. The top drive modules may include any or all of the following: a main body module, a gearbox module, a drive motor module, a pipe handler module, an upper fluid module, a lower well control valve module, a block interface module, a retract system interface frame module, a cooling system module, a work platform guard module, and a quill saver sub module. Alternatively, the top drive may comprise a first top drive and a second top drive which are configured to be quickly exchanged.
Abstract:
A trailer and method for servicing an extendable boom loading apparatus. The trailer includes an end, a support structure, and a plurality of tools. The end opens and receives the extendable boom loading apparatus when extended. The support structure is coupled to the trailer and supports at least a part of the extendable boom loading apparatus at a convenient working height for a technician in the trailer. The tools are coupled to the trailer and are operable to service the extendable boom loading apparatus.
Abstract:
A method for repairing a crushing device or other device configured to comminute material includes the steps of removing at least one first insert from a portion of a crushing body such that at least one opening is formed in the portion of the crushing body, positioning at least one second insert in the at least one opening formed by the removing of the at least one first insert, positioning a force application mechanism adjacent to the at least one second insert and the portion of the crushing body, and actuating the force application mechanism to deform the portion of the crushing body to attach the at least one second insert to the portion of the crushing body. The one or more first inserts may be damaged and the one or more second inserts may be used to replace the one or more damaged first inserts. The force application mechanism is preferably explosive material. A method of forming a wearable surface is also disclosed.
