摘要: Two or more images are taken wherein during the image taking a focal sweep is performed. The exposure intensity is modulated during the focal sweep and done so differently for the images. This modulation provides for a watermarking of depth information in the images. The difference in exposure during the sweep watermarks the depth information differently in the images. By comparing the images a depth map for the images can be calculated. A camera system has a lens and a sensor and a means for performing a focal sweep and means for modulating the exposure intensity during the focal sweep. Modulating the exposure intensity can be done by modulating a light source or the focal sweep or modulating the transparency of a transparent medium in the light path.

摘要: A monitoring system includes a sensor, a processing block and an alert generator. The sensor is used to generate images of an infant. The processing block processes one or more of the images and identifies a condition with respect to the infant. Then alert generator causes generation of an alert signal if the identified condition warrants external notification. In an embodiment, the sensor is a 3D camera, and the 3D camera, the processing block and the alert generator are part of a unit placed in the vicinity of the infant. The monitoring system further includes microphones and motion sensors to enable detection of sounds and movement.

摘要: Detecting material properties such reflectivity, true color and other properties of surfaces in a real world environment is described in various examples using a single hand-held device. For example, the detected material properties are calculated using a photometric stereo system which exploits known relationships between lighting conditions, surface normals, true color and image intensity. In examples, a user moves around in an environment capturing color images of surfaces in the scene from different orientations under known lighting conditions. In various examples, surfaces normals of patches of surfaces are calculated using the captured data to enable fine detail such as human hair, netting, textured surfaces to be modeled. In examples, the modeled data is used to render images depicting the scene with realism or to superimpose virtual graphics on the real world in a realistic manner.

The controller is configured to control the manipulator arm to move toward, grasp, and actuate the brake lever of the vehicle based on the one or more of the location or the pose of the brake lever.

摘要: A mechanism is described for facilitating generation of voxel representations and assignment of trust metrics according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes detecting, by a computing device, a plurality of data sources hosting image capturing devices capable of capturing images of objects in a space, where the images are capable of being received by the computing device. The method may further include tagging trust metrics to the images based on credibility of the plurality of data sources, where a trust metrics to indicate veracity of a corresponding image. The method may further include aggregating the images into an aggregated image representation, and generating a voxel representation of the aggregated image representation such that the images are presented as voxel images, where veracities of the voxel images are secured based on tagging of the trust metrics to their corresponding images.
