Abstract: A method may be executed by one or more active capacitive styluses and a sensor controller connected to sensor electrodes. The method includes: a discovery step, executed by the sensor controller, of repeatedly sending out a discovery packet for detecting any of the active capacitive styluses; a discovery response step, executed by a first active capacitive stylus among the one or more active capacitive styluses, by which the discovery packet is detected, of returning a response packet to the discovery packet; a configuration step, executed by the sensor controller, of transmitting a configuration packet including time slot designation information that designates a first time slot to the first active capacitive stylus; and a data transmission step, executed by the first active capacitive stylus, of transmitting operation state data indicative of an operation state of the first active capacitive stylus using the designated first time slot.

Abstract: A computing device is provided comprising a processor, a first display device having a first capacitive touch sensor, a second display device having a second capacitive touch sensor, and a hinge positioned between and coupled to each of the first display device and the second display device, the first display device and second display device being rotatable about the hinge and separated by a hinge angle. The processor is configured to detect the hinge angle at a first point in time, determine that the hinge angle at the first point in time is outside a first predetermined range, and upon at least determining that the hinge angle is outside the first predetermined range, perform run-time calibration of at least a plurality of rows of the capacitive touch sensor of the first display device and of the capacitive touch sensor of the second display device.

Abstract: A display device that achieves both high-accuracy sensing by a touch sensor unit and smooth input using the touch sensor unit is provided. The display device includes a display unit and the touch sensor unit. The touch sensor unit performs touch sensing operation at a different timing from display image rewriting by the display unit, whereby the high-accuracy sensing can be achieved. The display unit has a function of rewriting a display image only in a region that needs to be rewritten. In the case where the entire display region is not necessarily rewritten, the time for the sensing operation by the touch sensor unit can be lengthened, whereby the smooth input can be achieved.

The embodiment of the present disclosure may compensate for or even eliminate the influence caused by the parasitic capacitance of the touch panel, improve the accuracy of touch detection, and save the circuit area.
