摘要: The description relates to surgical computer systems, including computer program products, and methods for implant planning using corrected captured joint motion information. Data representative of a corrected limb pose at a plurality of poses within a range of motion of a joint associated with a particular individual is captured, the joint comprising a first bone and a second bone, while the first bone, the second bone, or both are subject to a corrective force aligning the first and second bones in a desired alignment. The first bone of the joint is represented. The second bone of the joint is represented. A first implant model is associated with the representation of the first bone. A second implant model is associated with the representation of the second bone. Based on the captured data, a relationship is determined between the first implant model and the second implant model at one or more poses of the plurality of poses within the range of motion of the joint. Information representative of the determined relationship is displayed.

摘要: Methods are provided for the prognosis, diagnosis and treatment of various pathological states, including cancer, chemotherapy resistance and dementia associated with Alzheimer's disease. The methods provided herein are based on the discovery that various proteins with a high level of sialylation are shown herein to be associated with disease states, such as, cancer, chemotherapy resistance and dementia associated with Alzheimer's disease. Such methods provide a lysosomal exocytosis activity profile comprising one or more values representing lysosomal exocytosis activity. Also provided herein, is the discovery that low lysosomal sialidase activity is associated with various pathological states. Thus, the methods also provide a lysosomal sialidase activity profile, comprising one or more values representing lysosomal sialidase activity. A lysosomal sialidase activity profile is one example of a lysosomal exocytosis activity profile.

摘要: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon for providing cloud rules and an alerting framework are provided. In embodiments, one or more rules associated with one or more healthcare information systems are received. The one or more rules each designate an initiating and at least one target application. One or more actions are associated to each target application. The initiating application is monitored for a trigger associated with the one or more rules. In embodiments, the trigger causes the one or more actions to be communicated to each target applications. In embodiments, the one or more actions initiate various changes in a display associated with each target application.

摘要: The automated determination of an individual function of a DPOAE level map with pdp,I=f(L1, L2) of human or animal hearing. The method may include reading into a main memory a model function with model parameters of a DPOAE level map, based upon a number of N DPOAE measurements of a stimulation frequency pair with respectively different level pairs in a population (p) of a population of normally hearing subjects, automatically presenting n different level pairs of a stimulation frequency pair via tone output means to an individual and detecting the corresponding DPOAE's of the individual via tone recording means, wherein at least the first level pair is predefined, iteratively adapting the model function to the measured n DPOAE's until an individual function is obtained with individual parameters of a DPOAE level map of the individual, outputting the individual function and/or its individual parameters.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed for segmenting an image. First and second frames of image data are generated at different times. A first portion of the first frame is compared to image data of the second frame, and a second portion of the second frame is selected based on the comparison. A displacement vector between the first portion and the second portion is calculated, where the displacement vector represents relative movement over time between the image data represented by the first portion and the image data represented by the second portion. An image is output with an indicator, and the location of the indicator on the image is determined by using the calculated displacement vector. The indicator can serve to distinguish between items in an imaging view.

摘要: A container holds at least one surgical implement, has a lock mechanism, and has a signature label that impedes access to the surgical implement until the correct surgical site is confirmed. A method of using the container includes the steps of confirming the correct surgical site, signing the label and removing it from the container, placing the label in the medical record, unlocking the container, removing the implement, and beginning the surgery, wherein the surgical team is forced to pause to confirm the correct surgical site before starting the surgery. The system and method may also include a wrong site surgery profile used by individuals within the surgical procedure environment and third parties for tracking and determining if, and where, a wrong site surgical procedure occurred. The profile can be updated, tacked and monitored while a patient is interacting within the medical environment.
