摘要: A variable resistance conductive rubber sensor and method of detecting an object/human touch therewith is provided. The sensor has a sensor body constructed from electrically conductive rubber. The sensor body extends between opposite first and second ends. A first wire is operably connected to the first end and a second wire may be operably connected to the second end, with the first and second wires being brought into electrical communication with one another by the intermediately extending electrically conductive rubber of the sensor body. A microcontroller is operably connected to the sensor body to detect the presence of an applied force or human touch on the sensor body.

摘要: There is disclosed a method for calibrating a measurement device, in which a probe is coupled with a base part by a flexure. The method includes setting a position of a probe of the measurement device by moving the base part so that a tip of the probe does not touch an object; obtaining information of a location of the probe representing a free weight of the probe; and moving the base part so that the tip of the probe moves towards a surface of the object and obtaining information of the location of the probe until the information indicates that the location of the tip of the probe has changed. There is also disclosed a measurement device including a base part; a probe having a tip; a flexure coupling the base part with the probe; means for moving the base part; and means for obtaining information of a location of the probe without contacting the flexure and/or the probe.

摘要: A load suspension and weighing system for a removable reservoir unit of a portable dialysis machine includes a centrally located flexure assembly. The flexure assembly includes magnets and a number of flexure rings which allow for movement of the magnets about a fixed circuit board. Sensors in the circuit board sense changes in the magnetic field as the magnets move in relation to the circuit board. The magnetic field changes produce a voltage output which is used by a processor to generate weight calculations. The top of the flexure assembly is attached to the interior of the dialysis machine. The entirety of the reservoir unit is suspended by a first internal frame that is attached to the bottom of the flexure assembly. Having a single flexure assembly positioned above the reservoir unit provides more accurate weight measurements while also preventing damage to the assembly from water spillage.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an electro-mechanical fuse-type configuration built into the probe that contacts the specimen during materials testing. The design includes an internal pre-loaded compression spring and an electrical contact switch. The coil spring preloaded to the desired safety load results in the probe assembly directly passing the load from the probe tip to the load cell for loads under the point where the spring additionally compresses. Upon deflection of the spring in excess of safety preload, the spring internally compresses within the probe coupling rather than the probe tip continuing to displace into the specimen, thereby switching the state of the electrical contact switch and stopping operation of the materials testing device. In a further configuration, excessive travel of the load cell coupling is detected, and, in response, operation of the materials testing device is stopped.

The permanent magnet (3) is arranged to move inside the sensor housing (2) in response to magnetizable contaminants (7) collected on an outer surface of the sensor housing (2).

The support can be elastically deformed in proportion to the shearing force or pressure. The shear force sensing unit includes first piezoelectric films on outer opposing shoulders of each support, the first piezoelectric film being elastically deformed with the support and outputting a signal accordingly. The magnitude of simple pressure is recorded by similar deformation of a second piezoelectric film entirely covering its support.

摘要: A temporary fixing unit includes a supporting portion including a distal end portion passed through an aperture, and a holding portion provided with an inclined surface that slides along an edge portion of the aperture when passed through the aperture. The temporary fixing unit also includes a spring portion connecting the distal end portion of the supporting portion and the holding portion and that deforms in a twisted manner as the holding portion is pushed down when the inclined surface of the holding portion slides along the edge portion of the aperture. When the holding portion is passed through the aperture, a portion of a door panel is held between the holding portion and an elastic portion. Furthermore, the elastic portion is elastically deformed so as to press the door panel.
