    摘要: A drive assembly having an actuating piston for generating a thrust for engagement of a clutch unit. The assembly also has a bearing for transferring the engagement thrust and a pusher for discharging the engagement thrust onto the clutch unit. The actuating piston, the bearing and the pusher are assembled in succession on a transmission shaft carrying the clutch unit. A chamber is provided for supplying a fluid under pressure for generating a disengagement thrust acting on the actuating piston. At least one preloaded spring is provided that acts on the actuating piston so as to push it towards the clutch unit. The bearing for transferring the thrust is mounted with play directly on the transmission shaft. The pusher being disk-shaped and comprising a first face in lateral contact with the bearing and a second face in lateral contact with the clutch unit.

    摘要: A spring pack for a transmission includes first rotatable piston and a second rotatable piston. The first rotatable piston includes a first retainer plate, and the second rotatable piston includes a second retainer plate. The spring pack further includes a tabbed retainer plate that is stationary with respect to the first piston and the second piston and also includes a set of biasing members with a first subset of biasing members and a second subset of biasing members. The first subset of biasing members is disposed between the first retainer plate and the tabbed retainer plate, and the second subset of biasing members is disposed between the second retainer plate and the tabbed retainer plate. As the first and second pistons are activated, they stroke independently of each other as each retainer plate compresses its respective subset of biasing members against the tabbed retainer plate.

    摘要: A clutch assembly is provided. The clutch assembly includes a basket member, an input member and an actuator that is disposed within the basket member. A hub member, having a hub spline and an inclined portion is disposed adjacent to the actuator. A cam member, having a cam spline and cam lobes is rotatably disposed on the input member. A shaft member, having a shaft spline and plurality of slots is rotatably disposed on the input member. The hub spline is engaged with the cam spline in a disengaged position of the actuator. The clutch assembly further includes a plurality of balls received within the corresponding slots of the shaft member. While moving towards an engaged position of the actuator, the cam spline aligns with the shaft spline thereby the hub spline engages with the shaft spline in the engaged position of the actuator.

The valve assembly includes a housing with a first port for connection to a source of pressurized hydraulic fluid, a displaceable sealing piston disposed within the housing, a valve spring for displacing the sealing piston, a snap-spring having first and second equilibrium positions, and an overstroke spring. In the first equilibrium position a spring force displaces the sealing piston to uncover the first port to enable fluid flow through the valve, and in the second equilibrium position the valve spring displaces the sealing piston to block the first port to block fluid flow through the valve. Moving from the first equilibrium position to the second equilibrium position includes displacing the overstroke spring.

    摘要: A rolling bearing clutch including an inner ring, an outer ring and a plurality of rollers interposed between the track surfaces formed on the inner and outer rings, said rollers are inclined with a predetermined twist angle (.beta.) relative to the center axis of the rings, each of the track surfaces of the inner and outer rings exhibits a hyperboloid contour, and when rings are relatively rotated in one direction, the rolling bearing clutch is brought into the locked condition and the clutch is freely rotatable in a reverse direction, wherein the rolling contact angle of at least one of contact portions of each of the rollers with the track surfaces as seen in the axial direction of the rollers is set to be larger than the frictional angle corresponding to the static frictional coefficient at the contact portion, whereby when the rings are rotated in the locking direction, the rollers can slide at the contact portions with the track surfaces, thrusting means is provided for allowing the track surfaces of the inner ring and the outer ring to come near each other, the inner and outer rings are locked by thrusting outer ring by the thrusting means while the inner and outer rings are rotated in locking direction, whereby the clutch is brought in the ON condition and the clutch is brought in the OFF condition by allowing the rollers to slide at the contact portions with the track surfaces by releasing the thrusting means from the thrust condition, whereby the rolling bearing clutch is not necessary to perform screw-back operation when the clutch is shifted to OFF condition.

    摘要: A pneumatically engageable clutch for coupling a rotating shaft with a rotatable member comprises a compressed air passage in the rotating shaft. The compressed air passage opens in a port in the peripheral surface of the shaft. A stationary casing surrounds the shaft and has an annular chamber adjacent the port, compressed air being supplied to the annular chamber. The annular chamber is sealed by packing rings, such as Simmer rings, made of elastomeric material an engaging the shaft. To reduce the pressure difference across the packing rings, hydraulic pressure is applied to the outsides of the packing rings. Control means keep the hydraulic pressure substantially equal to the compressed air pressure. In one embodiment, the control means comprise a slide valve. In another embodiment, the control means comprise a partially oil-filled closed system which includes chambers axially outside of the packing rings, the compressed air pressure acting statically on the oil level.
