摘要: A method for predicting the residual life of a bearing comprising steps of: (1) obtaining data concerning one or more factors that influence the residual life of the bearing using at least one sensor, (2) obtaining identification data uniquely identifying the bearing, (3) transmitting data to and/or from the at least one sensor using an industrial wireless protocol, and (4) recording the data concerning one or more of the factors that influence the residual life of the bearing and the identification data as recorded data in a database, whereby at least one sensor of the at least one sensor is configured to be powered by electricity generated by the motion of a bearing or the bearing when it is in use.

摘要: A bearing detection device comprises a housing body, to be fixed to a stationary ring of a bearing, and a detection arrangement on the housing body, comprising a piezoelectric transducer. The detection arrangement also comprises: a floating body, mounted on the housing body and suitable for mechanically transmitting vibrations of the bearing, and a sensor unit, which is mounted in a stationary position on the housing body and has a detection surface configured for receiving thereon a corresponding surface of the floating body. The piezoelectric transducer defines at least part of the detection surface and is configured for generating an electrical potential difference that is substantially proportional to the magnitude of a stress exerted by the floating body on the piezoelectric transducer.

摘要: A pump included in an oil supply unit includes a piezoelectric body that is repeatedly deformed when a pulsed drive voltage is applied from a drive unit. The pump discharges lubricant as the volume of a storage unit that stores fluid to be supplied decreases with deformation of the piezoelectric body. An abnormal discharge detection device that detects an abnormal fluid discharge operation of the pump includes: a measurement unit that measures a terminal voltage of the piezoelectric body; and a control unit functioning as a determination unit that determines if the discharge operation is being performed normally or not based on whether or not the measured terminal voltage has changed with time during application of a pulse of the drive voltage.

摘要: An active piezoelectric spindle bearing preload adjustment mechanism includes a preload adjustment assembly located between an inner ring and an outer ring of two bearings, and an internal generator mounted at a selected location in a spindle. The preload adjustment assembly includes a spacer ring set and a piezoelectric actuator located in the spacer ring set. The rotation speed of the spindle is changeable to enable the internal generator generating selected amount of power and voltage for controlling extension or contraction length of the piezoelectric actuator whereby to change slide distance between the inner and outer ring for controlling bearing preload value.

摘要: A sensorized rolling element for a bearing having inner and outer races and a plurality of rolling elements disposed between the inner and outer races and includes a rolling element body having an interior surface defining a cavity, the body being disposable between the inner race and the outer race. A wireless transmitter is disposed within the cavity of the rolling element body and a piezoelectric device is disposed within the cavity so as to contact the inner surface of the rolling element body. The piezoelectric device includes a body formed of piezoelectric material and at least two electrodes electrically coupling the piezoelectric body with the wireless transmitter. The piezoelectric device is configured to generate electrical charge for powering the transmitter when the rolling element body deflects under loading applied by the inner race and/or outer race and may also be used to detect loading on the rolling element body.
