摘要: A control system is applied to an internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders, a variable compression ratio changer configured to change the compression ratio of each of the cylinders of the internal combustion engine individually, in-cylinder injection valves that inject fuel into the respective cylinders, and in-passage injection valves each of which injects fuel into an intake passage corresponding to each of the cylinders. To reduce differences in the air-fuel ratio among the cylinders during changing the compression ratio, the control system makes the proportion of the quantity of fuel injected through the in-passage injection valves to the total quantity of fuel injected through the in-cylinder injection valves and the in-passage injection valves larger during the time in which the compression ratios of all the cylinders are being changed than during the time in which the compression ratios of all the cylinders are fixed.

摘要: A vehicle control system for an internal combustion engine having a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel directly into a combustion chamber includes a controller configured to perform a fuel cut-off when a predetermined fuel cut-off condition is met during travel of the vehicle to thereby stop fuel injection from the fuel injection valve. The controller is configured to resume the fuel injection from the fuel injection valve when a predetermined fuel cut-off recovery condition is met during the fuel cut-off. The controller is configured, upon elapse of a predetermined time that is required for a wall temperature of the combustion chamber to rise after resuming the fuel injection from the fuel injection valve, to perform a rich spike that temporarily increases the fuel injection amount from the fuel injection valve.

摘要: An air-fuel ratio controller of an internal combustion engine includes an open-loop processor setting a base injection amount, a feedback processor calculating a feedback operation amount, an increase processor performing an increase correction on the base injection amount when a temperature of the internal combustion engine is a specified temperature or lower, an operation processor operating a fuel injection valve based on the corrected base injection amount and that is corrected using the feedback operation amount and a learning value, and an update processor updating the learning value. If the increase processor performs the increase correction, the update processor updates the learning value to increase an increase correction rate of the base injection amount when a temperature of the cylinder wall surface is high.

These embodiments include control of the amount of directly injected fuel so as to avoid a threshold increase in particulates due to piston wetting and reduction of cold start emissions by use of air preheating using variable valve timing.

摘要: A control device for an internal combustion engine has a controller configured to control a fuel injection valve arranged to directly inject a fuel into a combustion chamber, and a variable compression ratio mechanism arranged to vary an upper dead center position of a piston, and thereby to vary a compression ratio of the internal combustion engine. The controller is configured to control a fuel cut by which the fuel injection from the fuel injection valve is stopped, when a predetermined fuel cut condition is satisfied during a traveling of a vehicle. The fuel injection from the fuel injection valve is restarted when a predetermined fuel cut recovery condition is satisfied during the fuel cut.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for controlling the fuel supply to an internal combustion engine at start-up. The fuel supply system can be set in at least two start modes, a lean mode and a rich mode, and the selection of mode is based on an evaluation of a previous start attempt or successful run. The invention also concerns a carburettor (10) having a fuel supply system including a main fuel path (13) with an actively controlled fuel valve (26) and an idling fuel path (14) branching off from the main fuel path (13) downstream of the valve (26). The fuel supply system further includes a start fuel line (23, 423) starting upstream (FIG. 1) or downstream (FIG. 4) of the fuel valve (26) and ending in at least one start fuel outlet near and downstream of a choke valve.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an engine control device with which it is possible to minimize decreases in combustion speed even when the EGR rate has been increased. The present invention is an engine control device for: controlling an engine provided with an injector for injecting fuel directly into a cylinder, an ignition device for igniting the injected fuel, and an EGR means capable of recycling combustion gas and varying the EGR rate of the recycling combustion gas; and commanding the injector to perform multiple injections during one cycle, wherein a command is given to perform a control for increasing the injection quantity per compression stroke relative to the total injection quantity in one cycle so that the injection quantity per compression stroke is greater when the EGR rate is high than when the EGR rate is low, and/or a control for increasing the number of injections per compression stroke relative to the total number of injections in one cycle so that the number of injections per compression stroke is greater when the EGR rate is high than when the EGR rate is low.

In one example, a method may include in response to detecting a fuel injector leak, performing first high pressure mitigating actions including increasing a fuel rail pressure, increasing a pulse width delivered to the leaking fuel injector, and commanding fuel injection during compression stroke; in response to the first mitigating actions not reducing the leak below a threshold rate, performing second high pressure mitigating actions including increasing the fuel rail pressure, increasing the pulse width delivered to the leaking injector, and commanding fuel injection during intake stroke for a cylinder receiving fuel from the leaking injector; and in response to the second mitigating actions not reducing the leak below the threshold rate, reducing the fuel rail pressure, and commanding intake stroke fuel injection to all cylinders.
