摘要: A glare control system for a vehicle comprises a rearview assembly comprises a display element configured to display scenes exterior to the vehicle; an ambient light sensor configured to determine levels of ambient light; a blind spot module comprising at least one sensor and operable to detect other vehicles located in a field of view to the side and rear of the vehicle and in communication with the rearview assembly; an electro-optic element configured to selectively darken and clear upon receipt of appropriate instructions; and a controller in communication with the blind spot module, the ambient light sensor, and the electro-optic element, the controller configured to selectively cause the dimming of the electro-optic element. In response to the receipt of appropriate inputs from the blind spot module and the ambient light sensor, the controller is configured to transmit instructions to the electro-optic element.

摘要: A driver face authentication system provided in a movable apparatus includes a first imaging unit that captures a face of a driver at a first angle, a second imaging unit that captures the driver's face at a second angle different from the first angle, a boarding detection unit that detects that the driver is aboard the movable apparatus, and a face authentication unit that, after the boarding detection unit detects that the driver is aboard the movable apparatus, based on a video captured by the first imaging unit and a video captured by the second imaging unit, determines whether the driver captured by the first and second imaging units is a legitimate driver of the movable apparatus.

摘要: A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head pivotally adjustable about a mirror support. The mirror head includes a video display device disposed rearward of a prismatic mirror reflective element having a transflective mirror reflector. A touch sensor is disposed at the prismatic mirror reflective element and is associated with circuitry at a flexible printed circuit of the video display device. The video display device is operable to display video images captured by a rearward viewing camera of the vehicle. Light emitted by the video display device passes through the transflective mirror reflector for viewing of displayed video images by the driver of the vehicle viewing the prismatic mirror reflective element. The reflective region of the transflective mirror reflector of the prismatic mirror reflective element reflects at least 40 percent of visible light incident at the front side of the prismatic mirror reflective element.

摘要: The disclosure refers to an internal rearview device (1) adapted for use with a motor vehicle, comprising: a rearview element comprising at least one of a reflective element (10) and a display element, with the rearview element having a normal state and at least one anti-glare state, in which a glare experienced by a driver of the vehicle as a result of light reflected at the rearview element is reduced; a bezel (32) surrounding the rearview element and being surrounded by a housing (60); control means comprising sensor means connected to at least one printed circuit board (40, 50), which is arranged between the housing (60) and the rearview element, for controlling at least the state of the rearview element; and a mount assembly (70) which is configured to attach the housing (60) to the vehicle; wherein the perimeter edge (31) of the bezel (32) is exposed to and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle when said device (1) is normally mounted in the vehicle; said perimeter edge (31) comprises a curved surface disposed between the front and/or reflective surface of the rearview element (10) and the housing (60); and the housing (60) is provided with a protrusion (65) projecting edgewise, beyond the curved surface of the perimeter edge (31) such that it is viewable by the driver when said device (1) is normally mounted in the vehicle. The disclosure also refers to a vehicle with such an internal rearview device.

摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head at one end of the mounting arm distal from an attachment portion of the mounting arm that is configured for attachment at a vehicle. A mirror reflective element is fixedly attached at the mirror head. An innermost side of the mirror reflective element is attached at a front side of an attachment plate. The mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm when the driver of the vehicle operates an electrically-operable actuator. The attachment plate includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate and circumscribes and spans the perimeter circumferential edge of the glass substrate and does not encroach onto and does not overlap the front surface of the glass substrate of the exterior mirror reflective element.

摘要: A lidar receiver that includes a photodetector circuit can be controlled so that the detection intervals used by the lidar receiver to detect returns from fired laser pulse shots are closely controlled. Such control over the detection intervals used by the lidar receiver allows for close coordination between a lidar transmitter and the lidar receiver where the lidar receiver is able to adapt to variable shot intervals of the lidar transmitter (including periods of high rate firing as well as periods of low rate firing). The lidar receiver can define the detection intervals based on a region in the field of view that a laser pulse shot is targeting (e.g., setting longer detection intervals for laser pulse shots targeting a horizon region, setting shorter detection intervals for laser pulse shots targeting a region that intersects within the ground within a relatively short distance of the lidar system).
