摘要: A method of forming a can end shell is provided which includes providing a can end shell having a central panel portion, a first panel radius around the central panel portion, a chamfer extending from the first panel radius, and a second panel radius around the chamfer, coining the can end shell to form a coined section in the first panel radius around at least a portion of the circumference of the central panel portion, and reforming the can end shell to form a step in the chamfer.

摘要: A hot press-forming method includes a forming step that clamps a steel sheet heated to a temperature not less than an austenite transformation temperature and press-forms the steel sheet into a desired shape by causing a forming concave of a die and a convex of a punch to be close to each other. A formed portion has side and top portions that merge. The side portion rises up from an inner circumferential edge of a flange portion having been clamped by the die and the blank holder. A cooling step cools a region of the steel sheet after the heating step has been completed and before the forming step is completed. The particular region is along an inter-edge area formed between an opening circumferential edge of the forming concave and a top circumferential edge of the forming convex before the forming step is completed.

摘要: The present invention suppresses deterioration in the corrosion resistance of a worked portion resulting from working cracks in a Zn-based plated layer (3) in a workpiece (2) formed into a predetermined shape by performing plastic working on a Zn-based plated steel sheet (1) coated with a Zn-containing metal as a raw material. That is, plastic working is performed on a raw material that is a Zn-based plated steel sheet (1) to obtain a workpiece (2) having a predetermined shape, and thereafter, pressurization processing is performed on a worked portion in a sheet thickness direction to deform the plated metal, thus decreasing the width of working cracks in the plated metal. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the deterioration in the corrosion resistance of the worked portion of the Zn-based plated workpiece.

The servomotor (23) passes through the reversal point (Ut) of the ram movement, which is predetermined by the kinematics of the coupling gear mechanism, for example the extended position of an eccentric drive. During the closing of the die (18), that is to say during a press stroke, the servomotor (23) is activated in such a way that it first passes through this reversal point (Ut), then stops, reverses and then passes through it once again, in order to open the die (18) again. Consequently, the braking to a standstill and re-acceleration of the servomotor for the upper ram (15) takes place while the actual drawing operation is still or already being performed, i.e. during the forming of the metal blank, which significantly reduces the cycle time.
