    摘要: A fuel injection device for mixture compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines, which serves to meter the fuel proportional to the intake air and aspirates the air-fuel mixture. The fuel injection device includes an air flow rate meter located downstream of a butterfly valve in the air induction tube. The bearing shaft of the air flow rate meter includes a fuel metering valve which can be activated directly by the air flow rate meter. To correct the air-fuel mixture because of air density downstream of the butterfly valve, the fuel injection device is so arranged, that when the butterfly valve is in its idling and full load positions a rich air-fuel mixture can be regulated, and when the butterfly valve is in a partial load position a lean mixture can be regulated.

    摘要: A fuel metering valve assembly includes an air flow metering member which actuates the movable part of a fuel metering valve. Depending on the displacement of this movable part, two cooperating openings, a control slot and a shaped control orifice, together define the effective flow cross section for the fuel delivered to the engine. In order to improve the resolution of the path of the moving part of the valve assembly, one of the cooperating openings, e.g. the control orifice, is formed as a triangular opening in a sleeve or bushing surrounding an axially slidable shaft which supports the air flow rate-responsive member. The triangular opening may also be defined within the wall of the shaft. The width of the control slot is defined by a spacer ring between two coaxial partial bushings and one edge of the triangular opening is defined by the oblique line separating two partial sleeves.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine includes an air flow responsive throttle element in the induction tube which is subject to an adjustable elastic restoring force. The throttle element is attached to a bushing which rotates about a pivotal shaft mounted within the induction tube. A control slot in the bushing is covered to varying extent by a control edge on the pivotal shaft so that fuel which enters a groove in the shaft is metered out according to the relative rotation of shaft and bushing. The relative position of the throttle can be adjusted by a pressure cell.

    摘要: For detoxicating the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine an in-series arrangement of a first reactor and an oxidizing reactor is provided with the exhaust line of the engine along with an oxygen measuring element and structure for producing two additional air streams fed to the exhaust line. The first reactor reduces the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas and the second or oxidizing reactor oxidizes the hydrocarbons and the carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas. The oxygen measuring element is mounted to the exhaust line and regulates the mass ratio of air to fuel on the suction side of the engine. The first additional air stream is injected into the exhaust pipe in the flow direction upstream of the oxygen measuring element. The quantity of this air stream is regulated and corresponds to the fuel throughput of the engine so that when the oxygen measuring element measures a stoichiometric mixture (.lambda.=1) a slightly rich air-fuel mixture (.lambda. .apprxeq.0.98-0.99) is supplied to the engine.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a process and system for detoxicating the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, the exhaust pipe of which contains an in-series arrangement of a first reactor for reducing the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust and a second reactor for oxidizing the hydrocarbons and the carbon monoxide in the exhaust. This process operates with a first control system which regulates the mass ratio of air to fuel on the intake side of the engine as a function of the quantity measured by an oxygen measuring element disposed in the exhaust pipe and with at least a second control system which controls the injection of supplementary air into the exhaust pipe in the direction of flow upstream of the oxidizing reactor.With exhaust gas detoxicating systems of this type comprising two bed catalysts, to obtain satisfactory reduction of the nitrogen oxides NOx, the air-fuel mixture supplied to the engine should be slightly richer (.lambda.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an arrangement for rapidly adjusting an electromagnetic load associated with internal combustion engines. The output signals of two control systems are combined in a logic circuit such that priority is assigned to one of the two control systems. Dependent on the output signal of the higher-order control system, an evaluation circuit acts on a switch arrangement to thereby suitably influence the signal resulting from the combining operation of the output signals of the two control systems. This arrangement makes it possible to speed up the delivery of the output signal of the higher-order control system to the electromagnetic load which may be an injection valve, for example. The higher-order control system may be a smooth-running control system.

    摘要: An apparatus for the load-dependent actuation of an adjusting device of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a throttle valve, of an exhaust gas recirculation line leading to the intake tube of the engine, in which the adjusting device is controlled in accordance with the position of a governor sleeve of a governor of an injection pump filled with fuel. The fuel in the injection pump, which is at an interior pressure (p.sub.1), is utilized as a hydraulic operating medium, and the position of the governor sleeve is ascertained via a self-balancing hydraulic follower piston apparatus. In order to preclude influence on the part of the interior pressure (p.sub.1), which is dependent on the pump rpm, the follower piston apparatus is disposed such that in the balanced status it is exposed on both ends to a pressure corresponding to the interior pressure (p.sub.1).
