Abstract:
A semiconductor wafer inspection system and method is provided which uses a multiple element arrangement, such as an offset fly lens array. The preferred embodiment uses a laser to transmit light energy toward a beam expander, which expands the light energy to create an illumination field. An offset fly lens array converts light energy from the illumination field into an offset pattern of illumination spots. A lensing arrangement, including a first lens, a transmitter/reflector, an objective, and a Mag tube imparts light energy onto the specimen and passes the light energy toward a pinhole mask. The pinhole mask is mechanically aligned with the offset fly lens array. Light energy passing through each pinhole in the pinhole mask is directed toward a relay lens, which guides light energy onto a sensor. The offset fly lens array corresponds to the pinhole mask. The offset pattern of the offset fly lens array is chosen such that spots produced can be recombined into a continuous image, and the system utilizes a time delay and integration charge coupled device for rapid sensing along with an autofocus system that measures and cancels topological features of the specimen.

Genes encoding maize oleoyl-ACP and palmitoyl-ACP thioesterase enzymes have been isolated from maize. These genes, when expressed in a plant, can be used to create transgenic plants having altered palmitic acid oil profiles.
Abstract:
A keg cleaning system and method is provided. The keg cleaning system and method is operable to first pump a fluid cleaner through an intake of a keg coupler and into a keg at a high pressure. The liquid cleaner is pumped into the keg for a short period of time. After the liquid cleaner has been pumped into the keg, CO2 or air is then pumped through the intake of the keg coupler and into the keg at a high pressure for a short period of time. The liquid cleaner is then forced out of a keg coupler exhaust. The steps are repeated until the inside of the keg is clean. Due to the repeated surges from the pump and the surges from the air or CO2 the inside of the keg is thoroughly cleaned.
Abstract:
A finger grip for a flangeless container, the finger grip having a skirt removably attachable to an open end portion of the container and a lip that extends radially outwardly from the skirt. The flangeless container is fillable by capping the container using a cap element to attach the finger grip to the container; installing the container in a container support assembly including a tray having a plurality of wells; filling the container; inserting a piston into the container; and removing the finger grip. Each well has a depth less than a predetermined length of the container, a lower portion of each well having a first cross-sectional shape similar to but greater than the cross-sectional shape of the flangeless container, an upper portion of each well having a second cross-sectional shape similar to but greater than the first cross-sectional shape.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medical container useful upon transportation of plural syringe barrels. The medical container includes at least a container main body and a holding member arranged inside the container main body. The holding member is provided at least with a plurality of cylindrical holding portions for holding syringe barrels. The container main body has at least a peripheral rim arranged on and along an outer periphery of an opening and a shoulder-shaped portion arranged on an inner wall of the container to arrange the holding member. The shoulder-shaped portion has at least three ribs for supporting the holding member, and has a structure that enables to arrange via the ribs the holding member in a horizontal position relative to a bottom wall of the container main body. According to the present invention, there is provided a medical container of a construction that can be promptly brought into a sterilized state by various methods, can be readily brought into a state capable of maintaining the sterilized state, and during transportation, can fixedly secure, without rattling, syringe barrels held upright by holders.
Abstract:
A vacuum packaging system for transporting a plurality of medical containers includes a plurality of medical containers each having a head side and a base side and a tray that receives and supports the medical containers. The tray includes opposing first and second sidewalls, opposing front and rear walls and a bottom floor. The walls extend generally vertically from the floor of the tray. At least one platform generally extends parallel to the floor of the tray. An air impervious flexible film defines an internal cavity. The air impervious flexible film completely surrounds the tray and the medical containers and the internal cavity is evacuated to and maintained at a predetermined vacuum level below atmospheric pressure. One of the head side and the base side of each medical container contacts a top surface of at least one platform when the medical containers are positioned in the tray.
Abstract:
A line-powered module that is selectively operable in one of a plurality of modes of operation based upon the value of a selection signal. The line-powered module includes a control unit that selectively operates the module in one of the plurality of modes of operation based upon the value of a selection signal received by the control unit. The line-powered module includes a selection input that is coupled to the control unit such that the selection signal can be received at the selection input. Preferably, the selection input receives a selection wire that can be moved between different points of connection to define the plurality of states of the selection signal. Based upon the connection of the selection wire, the control unit operates the line-powered module in one of the plurality of modes of operation.
Abstract:
A multi-function relay module for use with a series of hazardous condition detectors that are interconnected by an interconnect line. The relay module is positioned between the interconnected hazardous condition detectors and one or more auxiliary devices such that the relay module can selectively activate each of the auxiliary devices. The relay module receives the interconnect signal and determines whether the interconnect signal is indicating a first sensed condition or a second sensed condition. A selection signal having multiple states is received by the control unit. The control unit is programmed to respond to the type of sensed condition indicated by the interconnect signal based upon the state of the selection signal. Thus, the relay module can selectively respond to either the first sensed condition, the second sensed condition or either of the first or second sensed conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system, apparatus and method for recovering a client signal clock. The present invention is able to more effectively remove jitter within a clock signal by providing a phase shifting element in the feedback of a PLL system to compensate for sudden changes in an input reference clock. The PLL system provides flexible clock recovery so that it can accommodate various payload types because it extracts a client clock signal independent of a corresponding justification count number.
