Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for managing the mobility of a terminal in a mobile agent according to a method for distributive mobility management, and the method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step for detecting a change in location information of a terminal according to the movement of the terminal and storing the changed location information in a first storage unit; a step for storing, in a second storage unit, an index of the first storage unit in which the changed location information is stored; and a step for transmitting, to another mobile agent, an index value stored in the second storage unit at a point in time at which a predetermined condition is satisfied, and initializing the second storage unit.
Abstract:
A method for setting up/releasing by a user equipment (UE) a radio resource control (RRC) connection with an evolved node B (eNB) in a communication system is provided. The method includes detecting that traffic occurs. The method also includes that after detecting that the traffic occurs, determining a traffic type of the traffic The method further includes adaptively adjusting a timing point at which the UE releases a RRC connection between the eNB and the UE based on the traffic type.
Abstract:
The present disclosure may provide an operating method for supporting gateway change in a mobile communication system. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, the method includes receiving a message requesting to consent to the gateway change from a network entity; and according to whether at least one flow requiring session continuity is set, sending a response message regarding the gateway change consent to the network entity, wherein, when the at least one flow requiring the session continuity is set, the network entity can hold the gateway change based on the response message.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided to support a higher data transmission rate after a 4G communication system such as LTE. Disclosed is a method and device for providing a data service through a mobile communication network. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a connection request message including a device identifier of a terminal which is not subscribed to a mobile communication network; determining, using the device identifier of the terminal, whether the terminal corresponds to a contract for using the mobile communication network; configuring the terminal to perform limited access to the mobile communication network according to the contract when the terminal corresponds to the contract for using the mobile communication network; and transmitting, to the terminal, a connection acceptance message granting the limited access.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates 5G or pre-5G communication systems for supporting higher data transmission rate than those by LTE or other post-4G communication systems. Disclosed are a method and apparatus for determining a window size in a wireless communication system. The method includes determining an uplink data rate of the UE on a wireless link, determining that a maximum data size transmittable through an internet session including the wireless link is the window size for the internet session based on the uplink data rate, and transmitting uplink data through the internet session based on the determined window size.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a path between terminals in a wireless communication system includes measuring a channel quality of a direct path with the another terminal when receiving a request for measuring the channel quality of the direct path from a higher entity, transmitting a first message comprising a result of the measuring the channel quality to the higher entity, and, when receiving a second message to instruct to switch to the direct path from the higher entity, setting the direct path with the another terminal. another embodiments including a terminal and a network entity are also disclosed.
Abstract:
When a Mobile Node (MN) is assigned IP addresses, the number of which is greater than or equal to the preset number of IP addresses that the MN is capable of being assigned with, the MN identifies information on the pre-emption vulnerability of each session associated with an IP address, and releases an IP address which enables a disconnection of a session. When there are multiple IP addresses associated with the pre-emptable sessions, a consideration is given to multiple conditions related to which IP address is to be selected, one IP address is selected, and the relevant IP address is released. When any IP address cannot be released, a new session is associated with an IP address which can give the smallest overhead to the MN and the network among the existing IP addresses, so that an IP address can be efficiently assigned.

Abstract:
An apparatus performs a method for managing mobility of a terminal by a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving information on whether a time for which a terminal had been located at a cell managed by a first BS before the terminal has moved to a cell managed by the BS is equal to or longer than a predetermined threshold. The method also includes controlling data transmission/reception of the terminal by using one of an address allocated to the terminal by the BS or an address allocated to the terminal by a home server according to whether the time for which the terminal had been located at the cell managed by the first BS is equal to or longer than the predetermined threshold.
