    Abstract: A flexible display apparatus includes a bending area and a non-bending area. The flexible display apparatus further includes a display panel and a polarizing structure disposed on the display panel. The polarizing structure includes a λ/4 phase retardation layer, a linear polarizer disposed on the λ/4 phase retardation layer, and a first adhesive structure disposed between the λ/4 phase retardation layer and the linear polarizer. The linear polarizer includes a stretched polymer film. The first adhesive structure is an adhesive layer with a glass transition temperature that is greater than or equal to 40° C. and less than or equal to 150° C. Accordingly, deformation of the λ/4 phase retardation layer may be prevented or reduced when the flexible display apparatus is folded or bent, thereby improving display quality.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a display panel; a deformation sensor configured to sense a bending of the display panel; and a controller configured to control the display panel, wherein the controller is configured to: control displaying a plurality of objects on the display panel; detect the bending of the display panel through the deformation sensor; divide the display panel into a first area and a second area with respect to a bending line defined by the bending; divide the objects into a first object corresponding to the first area and a second object corresponding to the second area according to the bending; and move the first and second objects in first and second directions, respectively, according to the bending.

    Abstract: A flexible display device includes a display module including a bending area that is bendable along a reference axis, and a polarization member disposed on the display module. The polarization member includes a λ/4 phase retardation layer disposed on the display module and including a nematic liquid crystal coating layer. The polarization member further includes a first adhesion member disposed on the λ/4 phase retardation layer, a λ/2 phase retardation layer disposed on the first adhesion member and including a discotic liquid crystal coating layer, a second adhesion member disposed on the λ/2 phase retardation layer, and a line polarizer disposed on the second adhesion member and including an absorption axis, wherein an angle between the reference axis and the absorption axis is about 15 degrees to about 75 degrees.
