Abstract: A thin-film transistor (TFT) array substrate includes a transistor disposed on a base substrate and a storage capacitor electrically connected to the transistor. The transistor includes a gate electrode, an active layer electrically insulated from the gate electrode, the active layer including a semiconductor material, and a first electrode and a second electrode disposed to be spaced apart from each other on the active layer. The storage capacitor includes a lower electrode including a light inflow path, and an upper electrode disposed to face the lower electrode and electrically connected to the second electrode.

Abstract: A method of driving a display panel includes determining a present polarity of a pixel data signal of a present frame, generating a first compensated grayscale of the pixel data signal of the present frame using a pixel data signal of a previous frame, the pixel data signal of the present frame, and the present polarity, and displaying an image using the first compensated grayscale. The first compensated grayscale varies according to the present polarity.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first substrate including a plurality of pixels, and a second substrate facing the first substrate, the second substrate comprising a sensor area and a peripheral area, the sensor area comprising a plurality of sensors. The second substrate includes an insulating layer, and a plurality of lines disposed on the insulating layer corresponding to the peripheral area and connected to the sensors. A void is formed in the insulating layer between two adjacent lines of the plurality of lines at a boundary of the sensor area and the peripheral area.
