Abstract: A reception apparatus including a tuner and circuitry is provided. The tuner is configured to receive a transmission frame. The circuitry is configured to detect a last symbol of a first part of the transmission frame. The circuitry is configured to extract first signaling information, from the last symbol of the first part of the transmission frame, to decode a second part of the transmission frame. The circuitry is configured to remove a guard interval of a symbol of the second part of the transmission frame based on the guard interval indicated by the first signaling information. The circuitry is further configured to recover payload data from a third part of the transmission frame based on second signaling information included in the second part of the transmission frame. The first part is a bootstrap portion, the second part is a preamble portion, and the third part is a payload portion.

When 3 bits of code bits stored in three units of storages having a storage capacity of 16200/3 bits and read bit by bit from the units of storages are allocated to one symbol, a (#i+1)-th bit from a most significant bit of the 3 bits of code bits is set to a bit b#i, a (#i+1)-th bit from a most significant bit of 3 bits of symbol bits of the one symbol is set to a bit y#i, and a bit b0 is interchanged with a bit y1, a bit b1 is interchanged with a bit y0, and a bit b2 is interchanged with a bit y2.

Abstract: A transmission apparatus and transmitting method for signaling parameters of a preamble, and a reception apparatus and receiving method for decoding the preamble. Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing apparatus and a data processing method that are able to secure good communication quality in data transmission using an LDPC code. One symbol is mapped to one of 16 signal points prescribed in 16APSK, with code bits of four bits of an LDPC code having a code length of 16200 bits and a code rate of 7/15 as one symbol. 16 signal points prescribed in 16APSK are four signal points on an inner circle and 12 signal points on an outer circle, and a radius ratio of the inner circle and the outer circle is 5.25. The present technology may be applied to, for example, a case of performing data transmission using an LDPC code.

Abstract: Processing and transmitting transmission frames. A method for processing a transmission frame, includes receiving a transmission frame including a bootstrap portion, a preamble portion, and a payload portion. The boot strap portion of the received transmission frame is processed, by processing circuitry of a reception apparatus, to extract preamble structure information from one of four bootstrap symbols included in the bootstrap portion. The preamble portion of the transmission frame is decoded, by the processing circuitry, based on the extracted preamble structure information. A first one of the four bootstrap symbols is used for synchronization and a last one of the four bootstrap symbols in the bootstrap portion includes the preamble structure information. Further, the preamble structure information indicates a structure of one or more preamble symbols in the preamble portion that follows the last symbol.
