Abstract: An access point (AP) may prioritize the allocation of uplink resources between multiple basic service sets (BSSs). In some aspects, the AP may select one of a plurality of BSSs, may allocate one or more random-access resource units (RUs) to only the selected BSS, and may transmit, for each of the selected BSSs, a respective frame indicating the random-access RUs allocated to that BSS. Wireless devices belonging to the selected BSS may contend for access to the random-access RUs allocated by the frame, and then transmit uplink data using the random-access RUs.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to receive information indicating a wake time period from a STA and use the received wake time period to schedule communication with the STA. The apparatus may use the received wake time period to determine a target transmission time for transmitting a trigger frame to the STA. The apparatus may transmit a beacon to the STA and then transmit the trigger frame to the STA at the target transmission time following the beacon. The apparatus may also indicate an offset from the beacon that the apparatus will use for communication with the STA based on the wake time period of the STA.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for improving transmission opportunity (TxOP) truncation in wireless communication. In some implementations, a transmit opportunity (TxOP) period truncation or whether to update a network allocation vector (NAV) timing based on a message that includes transmitter and receiver information (such as a transmitter address (TA) and a receiver address (RA)) may be determined. For example, a station may receive a contention-free end (CF-End) frame and determine a TxOP period truncation based on comparing a TA and an RA included in the CF-End frame with a TA and an RA included in an earlier received message (e.g., an RTS). Such information may be compared to other TAs or RAs associated with NAV timing values and the NAV timing may be set, reset, updated, or canceled based on the comparison.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication is provided. The method includes receiving a trigger frame from an access point, the trigger frame being transmitted to two or more stations and indicating an uplink transmission opportunity. The trigger frame further includes a request for the two or more stations to concurrently transmit uplink data at a specific time. The method includes transmitting uplink data at the specific time to the access point concurrently with another of the two or more stations transmitting uplink data to the access point.

The method comprises generating a request frame requesting an uplink buffer report from each of the one or more stations, the request frame selectively requesting that the uplink buffer report indicate either an amount of data in an uplink buffer or a requested amount of time to transmit the data in the uplink buffer. The method comprises transmitting the request frame to each of the one or more stations. The method comprises receiving the uplink buffer report in a report frame from each of the one or more stations.

In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes receiving, via a first device, a first wireless message granting permission for the first device to transmit a message during a transmission opportunity, the first wireless message being transmitted to the first device at least partially concurrently with a transmission of at least a portion of a second wireless message addressed to a second device, the first wireless message being received over a first spatial stream and the second wireless message being transmitted over a second spatial stream; and transmitting, via the first device, a third message to a third device during the transmission opportunity at least partially concurrently with a transmission of a fourth message by the second device to the third device.

Abstract: In some aspects, a method for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes determining, at an access point, an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter for a first subset of stations of a plurality of stations, the first subset of stations capable of transmitting multi-user uplink transmissions. The method further includes generating an information element including the EDCA parameter. The method further includes transmitting the information element such that the information element is decodable by the first subset of stations and not by a second subset of stations of the plurality of stations.
