    Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods, vehicle computing devices, storage media, and systems for providing position information when broadcasting Broadcast Safety Messages (BSMs), which may include determining an elevation of the vehicle by a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver, determining a quantized elevation value (or a representative elevation value) based on the determined elevation, generating a BSM that includes the quantized elevation value, and broadcasting the BSM for reception by other vehicles. Alternatively or in addition, the vehicle computing device may be configured to use a group key to encrypt the elevation information that is included in the BSM.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to estimating occupancy of a wireless communication channel. A first user equipment (e.g., a first sidelink device) may transmit to a second user equipment (e.g., a second sidelink device) via one or more subchannels allocated for device-to-device communication. The second user equipment may also transmit to the first user equipment via one or more of the subchannels. To mitigate interference on the subchannels, the second user equipment may measure received signal strength on the subchannels to estimate the occupancy of the subchannels (e.g., by calculate a channel busy ratio). In addition, the second user equipment may account for signal leakage from a first subchannel (e.g., on which the first user equipment is transmitting data) onto a second subchannel. As a result, subchannels that may otherwise be indicated as occupied due to leakage may instead by indicated as unoccupied, thereby improving the accuracy of the channel occupancy estimation.

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method for providing congestion control in RSU message scheduling. Various aspects include measuring a channel busy ratio by a PC5 access layer of a Road Side Unit, comparing the measured channel busy ratio to one or more thresholds, and generating and transmitting RSU messages at a rate determined based upon whether the measured channel busy ratio equals or exceeds the one or more thresholds.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device of a wireless wearable device. In one aspect, the wireless device may transmit a first report based on one of a location of the wireless wearable device, a time period, or reception of a user-controlled indication to transmit the first report. The wireless device may also receive, based on the transmitted first report, a configuration to switch from a first mode to a second mode. In some aspects, the configuration can include at least one parameter associated with a power savings at the wireless wearable device while in the second mode. The UE may identify a resource availability metric and a message requirement metric for each of the one or more proximity service priority levels, the second protocol layer being a higher layer than the first protocol layer. The UE may determine a message generation rate for each of the one or more proximity service priority levels based on the channel occupancy ratio, or the resource availability metric, or the message requirement metric, or a combination thereof.     Abstract: Various aspects related to a platooning group in a V2V and/or V2X network are described. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus maybe a first UE configured to transmit a first message to announce an existence of the platooning group. In one configuration, the first UE may receive, in response to the first message, a second message indicating a request to join the platooning group from a second UE. The first UE may allow or deny the second UE to join the platooning group based on the second message. In another aspect, the apparatus maybe a first UE configured to receive a first message indicating an existence of a platooning group. The first UE may be configured to decode a portion of the first message, and determine whether the platooning group is a private group based on the decoding.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A person Internet of Things (IoT) network (PIN) architecture may support configuration and management of a PIN. The PIN architecture may include a first network node configured to establish the PIN, a second network node configured as a network gateway for the PIN, a third network node configured as a network management element for the PIN, and a PINE. The first network node may receive, via a user plane of a network, information from the second network node that triggers the first network node to establish the PIN.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for inter-message certificate and digest arrangements in wireless communications systems. A first wireless device may transmit a message with a certificate, where subsequent messages include digests that correspond to the certificate. Digests may have a smaller data size than the certificate. A second wireless device may use a digest to identify a corresponding certificate transmitted in the message, and the second wireless device may use the certificate to verify that the first wireless device is the authorized transmitter of each message. In some examples, the message with the certificate may be an anchor message. In some examples, the message with the certificate may be an earliest message after an expiration or restart of a timer.
