Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives an indication of a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) hopping offset from a network entity. The UE may process PTRSs transmitted in different transmissions across multiple symbols or time slots. In one example, processing the PTRSs may include transmitting the PTRSs in uplink (UL) slots. In another example, processing the PTRSs may include monitoring for the PTRSs in downlink (DL) slots. Frequency resources for the PTRSs may change across the different transmissions based on the PTRS hopping offset.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may extract information from a neighboring base station with cell coverage that overlaps cell coverage of the base station. The base station may determine, from the information, one or more locations of control resource sets (CORESETs) used by the neighboring base station. The base station may select resources that do not overlap with the CORESETs used by the neighboring base station. The base station may transmit a communication using the selected resources. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an in-coverage user equipment (UE) relaying broadcast messages to out-of-coverage UEs using one or more messaging techniques over a sidelink channel. The in-coverage UE may monitor for broadcast messages to relay the broadcast messages to out-of-coverage UEs. In some cases, the in-coverage UE may determine to relay broadcast messages to the out-of-coverage UEs based on one or more metrics. Additionally, the in-coverage UE may determine whether the broadcast message is to be included in a groupcast, broadcast, or unicast signaling. Based on the determination to relay broadcast messages, as well as whether the alert message is to be included in a groupcast, broadcast, or unicast signaling, the in-coverage UE may leverage sidelink communications to relay broadcast messages to the out-of-coverage UEs.

Abstract: A first base station is disclosed. The first base station may transmit, to a second BS, at least one PRACH preamble for requesting OSI. The first base station may receive a PDCCH and an associated PDSCH, the PDSCH including the OSI. Prior to transmitting the at least one PRACH, the first base station may scan for neighboring BSs. The first base station may determine, based on first quality metrics associated with the neighboring BSs, a set of BSs, the set of BSs including the second BS. The first station may obtain a MIB and at least one SIB from each of the set of BSs. The at least one PRACH preamble may be transmitted to the second BS based on the obtained MIB and the at least one SIB from the second BS.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes, in response to a trigger event detected at a first base station, performing, by the first base station, a scan of a plurality of frequencies for a synchronization signal block (SSB) transmission from a second base station. The plurality of frequencies correspond to a plurality of global synchronization channel numbers (GSCNs) associated with the first base station and the second base station. The first base station is associated with a first coverage area that is at least partially within a second coverage area associated with the second base station. The method further includes transmitting, by the first base station, one or more SSBs having an SSB configuration that is based on a result of the scan.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a first random access preamble to a base station and may transmit a payload associated with the first random access preamble via a first random access message as part of a two-step random access procedure. The base station may receive the first random access message and attempt to detect the first random access preamble. The base station may identify multiple random access preamble indices based on a detected random access preamble and may perform multiple decoding attempts on the payload portion of the first random access message using the multiple random access preamble indices. The base station may perform the multiple decoding attempts sequentially until one decoding attempt is successful or may perform the multiple decoding attempts in parallel.

Some wireless communications network may operate in accordance with an open-RAN (ORAN) network specification which may support functional splitting between the ORAN distributed unit (O-DU) and the ORAN radio unit (RU) located at a base station. The O-DU may communicate with the O-RU using control messaging, and the O-DU may signal whether various resource block groups are used for data allocation by enabling or disabling bits in a bit mask parameter in a header of the control message. To increase communications efficiency and reduce overhead, the O-DU may dynamically configure the number of bits included in a bit mask based on a radio access technology (RAT) type. The O-DU may determine the size of the bit mask in the control message based on the RAT type and may generate the control message that includes the bit mask.
