Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support guidance of users to particular locations within a facility. In a first aspect, RF fingerprints are determined at locations within the facility based on signal strengths from RF devices, including electronic shelf labels (ESLs). A graph may be determined based on the RF fingerprints. A current location for a user may be determined based on a current RF fingerprint for the user. A route through the graph may be determined through the facility and may be displayed to the user as the user navigates the facility. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an apparatus measures, via a first directional receive antenna array and a second directional receive antenna array that are each coupled to an apparatus, one or more signals that are transmitted by one or more transmitters of the UE. The first and second directional receive antenna arrays are oriented at different directions. The apparatus determines first and second representative values for the first and second directional receive antenna arrays, respectively based on some or all of the measurements. The apparatus determines whether the UE is within a given region based on the first and second representative values.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices that support converting position information from a device to positional descriptions with respect to descriptional layouts of assets at a location. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining position information associated with a user equipment (UE) and retrieving one or more frames of a survey video of a location that correspond to an estimated position of the UE. The estimated position is based on the position information. The method includes extracting a set of features from the one or more frames and outputting a description of the estimated position with respect to a descriptional layout of assets at the location based on one or more descriptions identified from the descriptional layout. The one or more descriptions are identified based on the set of features. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: In an aspect, an asset tracking coordination component estimates a time of a beacon transmission from a wireless energy charging-capable device coupled to an asset within a threshold proximity of a scanning device based on an estimated distance between the asset tracking coordination device and the scanning device and timing information associated with a wireless energy transmission, and schedules a beacon scanning window for the scanning device to scan for the beacon transmission based on the estimated time. In a further aspect, a scanning device may both provide a wireless energy transmission and may also scan for beacon transmission(s) from wireless energy charging-capable device(s) during a beacon scanning window.

Abstract: According to various aspects and techniques to enable methods and systems for a first communication device to determine an approximate number of other communication devices that have lost contact with a host communication device. This includes determining a common future time window using a last known global time stamp and determining a transmit time within the common future time window. This also includes receiving samples that are captured during the common future time window on a predefined communication channel, as well as analyzing the received samples to estimate the total number of other communication devices.

Abstract: A method is described. The method includes associating an identity to a computing device based on a context measurement. The method also includes generating a network address for the computing device based on the associated identity. The context measurement may include a biometric measurement and the network address of the computing device may be a function of the biometric measurement.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for determining a range between devices based, at least in part, on measurements of wireless tone signals transmitted between devices. In particular, two devices may measure tone signals transmitted between the two devices for determination of a round-trip phase measurement. Obtaining multiple round-trip measurements from tone signals transmitted at different carrier frequencies may enable resolving at least some range ambiguities.
