Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify occurrence of one or more collisions of paging of a first radio access technology (RAT) and paging of a second RAT, wherein the second RAT is associated with an asynchronous deployment; and/or identify a target cell of the second RAT to reduce occurrence of the collisions, wherein the target cell has at least one of a different temporal system frame numbering or a different system frame timing configuration than a serving cell of the wireless communication device, and wherein the target cell is identified using a primary common control physical channel (PCCPCH) of the target cell. Abstract: In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) determines an emergency health condition for a user that is defined based on a set of health-related parameters crossing a corresponding set of thresholds. The UE receives health data from a set of health monitoring sensors that are each configured to monitor one or more health-related parameters of the user. The UE detects, while a restricted mode restricting access to a set of communicative functions of the UE is active, that the emergency health condition for the user exists based on the received health data indicating that the set of health-related parameters have crossed the corresponding set of thresholds. The UE disables the restricted mode in response to the detecting. The UE conveys, using one or more communicative functions from the set of communicative functions that are made available by the disabling of the restricted mode, an alarm related to the detected emergency health condition for the user.

Abstract: A method for providing variable padding for tune away on a mobile communication device includes: performing a first tune away to a first radio access technology (RAT) on a first subscription; determining a status of a second RAT on a second subscription based on activities performed by the second RAT during a time period prior to the first tune away; determining padding for a second tune away to the first RAT based on the determined status of the second RAT; and causing the first RAT on the first subscription to wake up before a next page slot boundary by an amount of time equal to the padding.
